Maybe all the e-mails to HGTV to upgrade their gardening shows may of helped. It's so refreshing to watch a real garden program.

You lucky, lucky, guys, all we have up here on HGTV Canada is Curb appeal, not very interesting at all, we use to have Gardener's Journal, a fantastic show. Well, enjoy while it lasts. I'm sooo jealous.

I was so excited when I turned on HGTV this morning. Gardeners Diary has always been my favorite show. I love seeing all of the gardens, and hearing the gardeners veiws and reasons for what they do. I'm so happy it's back, what a great way to start my day!

Thanks for the info! I looked it up on HGTV and Gardener's Diary is on EVERY morn at 8am in this area for the next few weeks at least. I'm going to program my VCR right now to tape all of them. Yes, I still have VCRs, but also have a DVD player LOL

I am in the Detroit area and looked in the TV guide for Monday thru Friday in the AM but couldnt find it, does anyone else get it in this area? Please let me know, thank-you.

You do have cable or satellite?
If you do have them look on your cable or satellite guide channel for the HGTV station. It usually comes with a basic package. I do hope you have it. It's to good to miss. If not maybe someone you know can record it for you.

Well OK, folks, friends, the $1000 question -- are these RERUNS or are they NEW???? I think I have seen all the old ones, most several times. It WAS a great show. But I am less likely going to run out tomorrow and buy a new cable TIVO (I had satellite Tivo before, and we don't watch TV anymore.....)

So does anybody know? Are these really new programs? Or just the old re-runs....again?

I saw all the episodes when they would come on tv during the weekends maybe a few years ago. They were great, but I don't want to see them again. Anything new? :(

They are reruns but when you are a gardening addicted person who cares if they are. Each time you watch them you may get some info or ideas you might of missed previous. Six, ten, 20 years ago my ideas and style have changed and sometimes there is inspiration in others styles.

So for us who can't get enough...get your coffee ready or Tivo. But you have to admit is the only true garden show showing on HGTV these days.

I don't know David, but I was sure I had seen every episode at least twice and I never saw the one they showed Tuesday morning.
It was a spectacular garden with unbelievable hardscapes. I'm glad I set the DVR.

some of these are new but most are reruns. you can tell the new ones because they don't have the recap of the plants at the end of the show. (also, if you have satellite, you can check the date, it's on the show info screen.)

In the new ones she doesn't wear her sacky dress and hat either. I think I read somewhere that there were maybe 20 new episodes. Of course when you have it on 5 days a week, it couldn't be all new episodes.

The new ones are on Monday, so it seems.
Look on the info area and it will say new.
All the others are older but informative gardening. Worth watching over and over again.

To me, that's only a weak, half-hearted attempt by HGTV to live up to their name.
