They are calling for snow to begin tomorrow morning and continue until Saturday night. They say 16-24" or more. We have had enough already....

Sue: Even though I keep insisting that you keep MY share of the snow, you aren't listening. lol My part of Ohio is predicting 5 to 9 inches Friday into Saturday. I went out today and ran all my errands as I won't go out and drive in it at all. I thought if I heard that today was 'the calm before the storm' one more time, I'd scream!!

Right now when I look out my window there is a snow pile that is roughly 9 ft high by 8 ft wide by 100 ft long. I am darn sick of this stuff and longing for spring! But spring doesn't usually show here til the end of April....most years! LOL

Even with the snow on the ground it was beatiful yesterday. Now snow predicted Fri-Sun and again we share, bypassing Connie's area and sending it east again.

Here is our weather forecast for the weekend:
FRIDAY-Intermittent light snow or flurries becoming steadier and heavier during the daylight hours. Temps nearly steady in the low to mid 30s. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.
FRIDAY night: Snow and gusty winds. Snow will become heavy overnight. Some blowing and drifting snow. Low 28F. Winds NE at 20 to 30 mph. Snow accumulating 8 to 12 inches.

SATURDAY: Windy. Snow during the morning will transition to snow showers during the afternoon. High 29F. Winds N at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Significant snow accumulation possible.
SUNDAY: Snow and windy. Highs in the upper 20s and lows in the mid teens.

Most of the weather reports are saying we could accumulate up to 24 inches of snow.
I guess I will be stuck in the house for a few days.

I have to travel tomorrow night and won't get home until 11pm.

I am so sick of snow. Driving today I noticed I have to edge out a bit into some intersections to see if traffic is coming because I can't see over the piles of snow. We are supposing to get one inch tonight and another inch tomorrow. The good news is that it was 40 today and some of the snow melted. Our church snow removal bill for December was $1,100. It's never been that high.

Waiting here in northern Delaware. SNOW SNOW and more SNOW....just down graded the amount, was 18"-24" at 6 PM now back to 12"-18", my poor daughter in Cape May County New Jersey has Blizard warnings posted.....the unofficial total so far this winter for that county is 31", most years a winter total of 8"-12" is high.

Here in northern Indiana, we may get 1 to 3 inches. I'm surprised that you are to get so much more, Sue, as we get the "lake effect" snow a lot. I'm not complaining, though - you can have our share!

I have given up watching or listening to the weather forecasts. It isn't news anymore and they keep using that S word, and I don't use 4 letter words!

My DGD called this afternoon to see if I had everything I need. I told her all I needed was a large box of Russell Stover chocolates.

I made Taco Soup today. Perfect for this weather.

Not bad here. Had a little snizzle (snow/drizzle) and light snow earlier. Something's coming down and I just looked at the weather guess and they're talking a couple inches.

This year we've had so much ice and that has really taken its toll on me otherwise it's been a decent winter. We got a more normal amount of snow and that's fine. I'd prefer to get a bunch and dig out rather than the frequent couple inchers that are pesky.

Talked to a friend in northern MN and she said it's still pretty icy around there. But we're into February so it's downhill from here on out. I've been comfy all winter. Sure don't look forward to a sticky summer. Hope we don't have that, but it seems like an unusually cold winter is followed by an unusually hot summer. I'll take the snow and cold over the heat and humidity any day.

We've had very little snow all winter. It's been all around us....especially bad in your States! I want snow. I love storms (as long as I'm inside looking out!).

What gets me is they call just a few centimeters (a storm!).
Every little snowfall with wind constitutes a storm warning. The weather man gets people all ratched up predicting snow, then it's just a gentle snow fall.
I'd love to see snow like I did as a kid. It's a total waste of money for people to own snowmobiles any more.

Here in North Jersey we are expecting at least 6 inches by tomorrow night, tho I suspect it will be higher. Looks like I spend my Saturday cleaning closets instead of running errands.

We're under a blizzard warning here in central Delaware. Expecting anywhere from 18 to 24 inches of snow and the way things go around here could be more! Being from MI originally, doesn't bother me so much as it does so many other folks. What does bother me is how people tend to drive in this stuff. I actually heard someone say "I know how to drive and as long as it's just snow, I can do ....." Uh, no you can't drive 35, 45 etc. in snow. As I learned it you drive according to the weather conditions NOT the posted limit.

And for heaven's sake use your headlights and wipers and wipe off your car.

They changed the forecast now to 4 to 8 inches for ND. We had that wonderful frizzle stuff last night. Windows and doors iced up on cars.

I hope I don't go crazy before spring comes!

So far today we've had rain, then snow and now it's raining again. Tonight it is suppose to turn to snow. Hopefully not too much. We were just about rid of the last storm that dropped eight inches last Saturday.

The heck with store-bread and milk - I just made a loaf of bread and a big pot of chicken soup and noodles.

Donna! How are you guys doing over there in Stark? Opened the back door just awhile ago to let the dog out and there was at least 5" of snow piled up against it. Boy, it's 7:03pm. and the snow is really coming down and the wind is blowing. I bet we get that 7.7" by tomorrow just like the weatherman on Fox 8 News said.

Nothing here, that I know of. Weather.com says 'snow showers' every day for the next several days. Of course, a snow shower here in the Keweenaw is often 6 - 8 - 10 inches.

We didn't start getting snow until about 3:30pm. By 5pm it was starting to stick to the berms on the road. It is now 8:23 and we have about 1", and still snowing hard. Visibility is down to about a mile, two max. The weather channel said at 3:30 we would get 2-4 tonight and maybe another 1" tomorrow morning.

Schoolhouse, I'm up in Lorain Cty. only about 45 minutes from you. My brother works in Wooster.

Hey there tami! I sure hope your brother got home from work before this snow or made it TO work. I see the salt trucks and plows on Rte.250, but my road usually doesn't get much attention.

My friend from Cuba used to have me drive her to Lorain to grocery shop every week as it was the only place she could find the foods she wanted. Now many grocery stores in the area carry some Spanish foods. We haven't been to Lorain in a few years. Loved to eat at the Spanish restaurants, but after the steel factory left they closed too.

Ha. Looks like your dog had to pile through some deep stuff too! Both of mine were covered with snow when they came back in. I'm going to bed now; wonder what I'll find when I wake up tomorrow morning. Everyone keep safe and warm!

The guys are out with the snowblower and shovel, now. Some spots are bare, others have drifts of about 1-2 feet. I made DS take a couple of pictures before they started, but I haven't downloaded them yet.

Schoolhouse, thanks for thinking of my DB. I'm sure he made it home ok. He's been making that drive for years. His biggest problem is deer, or dogs chasing him. He hit a sheppard a few years ago, stopped and went to the nearest house. It was the owners. Thankfully, they weren't upset with him. Apparently, the idiot dog did that quite frequently, and he had gotten loose. They didn't know he had. Was it Fligner's market you took your Cuban friend to? They are still there.

Here's my little snow bunny! I had to pull on boots over my bare feet and a coat over my PJs and go rescue her this morning. Later I shoveled a path for her and my other dog.

Didn't lose power - yet. Some evergreen shrubs are split or laying on the ground covered with snow tho. :( Thank goodness I don't have to be anywhere and try to drive; but can never resist getting bundled up and taking a walk and look around after a big snow. Plus, it's still snowing!

Tami, I don't remember the names of the grocery stores but they were right on the main drag through Lorain, mostly small family run stores. Had the greatest deli cases too with delicious Cuban, Puerto Rican or Mexican dishes all cooked and ready. We usually stopped at two or three before heading home.
