Homemade chick noodle soup, we both have a cold, so maybe it'll help!

Papa Johns. All Papa Johns customers signed up with their rewards loyalty program (earn points from each purchase to use towards free pizza) were to receive a free pizza and a a free 2 liter pepsi Max if the Super Bowl coin toss landed on heads. Heads it was! Cheap dinner tonight!

I just made a big pot of chili!

Just had some chicken broth. I have had a chest cold since last evening. No better no worse. We are going to have Papa John's as they passed out a flier to people who have a business and you get lots of things on it half price, pretty much everything I think, maybe not drinks. I really like their wings. I doubt if I eat any tonight, but told them to save me some.

Jasdip, thanks for starting this. We had pancakes Wednesday night and Harry ate really well. I'd been worried about him. He didn't seem to have much of an appetite, but he ate 3 rather small pancakes, 3 sausage links and a big helping of scrambled eggs with cheese.

We got a late start to Publix and, as usual, it was packed. I'd like to have one week's worth of their net profit. I'd be rich! We just got home and put everything away. Maybe if I didn't give them so much of our money, we'd be rich then, too. :-) Bought an Italian sub for dinner tonight.

Bigack and Sue, feel well soon. Chicken broth and hot tea will have you better in no time.

Such a deal, Lisa! I've never had a Papa John's pizza because we've never had one close enough to go pick up or have delivered. They sure seem to do a good business.

Kayjones, I think I could live on chili. Well, maybe not, but I'd sure like to give it a try!

Grilled chicken sandwiches and oven fries.

Rib eye steaks for me and DH and a pork chop for Mom (her choice), asparagus and some as yet to be decided pasta.

Cheeseburger soup.

I have some butternut squash soup. Very yummy. I read all those squash soup recipes on the cooking forum... and made my own. ;)

I peeled one butternut squash, and took the seeds out. Cut it up in to 1 to 1 1/2 inch cubes.

Melted some butter in my big stock pot, and started to sauteeing the squash. Meanwhile, I peeled and sliced some garlic, and added it. Then I also added two carrots, cause I had them :)

I added a can and 1/2 of chicken stock, and simmered till the squash was softened.

Next I put all in the vitamix, and blended it up. I had some green onions, that I cut up with my scissors, and I tossed them in the pot with the blended squash. I added three heaping spoons of sour cream, some salt, pepper, rosemary and ginger and served it as soon as all was warmed up.

Totally yummy, and of course, totally made up, and prolly never to be repeated the same way. :)

We had broiled lobster tails with a garlic-chili butter, cole slaw and potato salad. It was very good. DH was a happy camper.

Our dinner was BBQ'd chicken on Wolferman's English Muffins, tater tots and a vegetable mix. DD came by to join us, so that was nice.

A hamburger patty and leftover potato salad with lettuce from lunch.

Moni, that sounds so good. I bought a butternut squash the other day and was just going to bake it...I may have to try your "recipe".

Salad from the garden with a frozen turkey meatloaf/mashed potato "muffin" from Trader Joes. If you have TJ's you might want to try these.

Home made Taco Soup and cornbread. I love Taco Soup! Oh, I love cornbread, too.

Moni, I just made a huge post of butternut squash and carrot soup and froze it. I love it. It's so low in fat and calories and so good.

I made stir fried chicken with broccoli and a few peanuts in it. It was so yummy.

I had a open-faced roast beef sandwich and mashed potatoes, hubby had hamburger steak, salad and asparagus at the restaurant we ate at with friends. Very good! I'll make a big pot of chili this weekend.

The Papa John's here will give you 30% off your entire ticket with a Walmart receipt. Need to do that one night, sounds like a good deal (and i have plenty of WM receipts!).

We had take-out from the nearby Chinese restaurant. Moo goo gai pan, for me. It's enough to last me three meals.

This isn't Friday anymore....I'm a little late reading and answering...

But it is freezing cold outside today so I'm going to put on a pot of chili for tonight. yum
