We put the basement floor down (pic)

We've been finishing a space in our basement for a teen/husband hang-out/movie room. Went back and forth on flooring choices. After seeing Oceanna's use of Novalis vinyl plank flooring (as well as reading many posts all over the internet), we went with this and are really pleased with the results. It looks even better up close than it does in this pic--it truly looks like real oak (even where it butts up the stair case which is actual oak!). The planks are self-adhesive and go down quite easily (although we still have a bit of cutting and fitting to do a around the moldings). Went right over the cement floor that we primed with latex. We'll keep an extra box on hand in case any ever get damaged. Just wanted to show a first shot of the floor--I'll post more photos when the room is completely done.
