Hmm.. interesting. Sffog has a good idea. My thoughts were to set the pan on either an insulated cookie sheet or doubled sheet/cookie pan. Alternately or maybe in addition I'd try lowering the heat 25 degrees and see if a slightly slower oven might help. I think the trick might be in the insulating the turrets by either sffogs foil or putting it on another pan. Let us know how you make out.

I would put it on two small baking sheets, leaving space between them under the hole in the center of the castle pan.
You want the heat to circulate there. If you have cookie sheets with no sides, they'd be perfect.

Have you tried to use the mold up side down?
Temperature inside an oven tends to be uneven.

A convection oven may also be better in having even temperature.

Aluminum foil will probably work.
