Happy Valentine's Day! The c0ld fr0nt has hit us and it's been a dismal day with a little rain. Wish we w0uld get a really nice, hard rain, but s0 far, just drizzles.

I made Harry a Valentine dessert--a banana cream pie fr0m scratch. Well--except f0r the crust. The meringue turned 0ut nicely br0wned. We're having breaded tenderl0in sandwiches and left0ver rice fr0m last night. That rice was really g00d.

H0pe y0ur Valentine's Day has been a great 0ne. We haven't ever celebrated it. Already way t00 many h0lidays t0 celebrate!!

Lloyd's for side order of catfish fingers., That's all I ever get there besides munching on butter and crackers while I'm waiting.

No Valentine's for me, but here's one from me to you. It's one I use when emailing out info to my water aerobics group.

I finally made it out to get my 'big' groceries today. I only put away the spoilables today. Will attack the rest of them tomorrow.

I fixed a big salad with everything from arugula to nuts to blueberries on it, along with some meat on it for protein. Also made a sweet potato.

Glenda this is the recipe we like and it's so easy. 1 (8 oz.) pkg. medium egg noodles 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream 1 (10 oz.)can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted 1 tsp. dried dillweed 1/4 c. sliced green onion 1/4 c. sliced ripe olives (I don't use them) 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese, shredded 1 lb. frozen peeled and deveined shrimp, thawed (could use diced up cooked chicken) Cook noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside. Combine sour cream, soup and dill in a large bowl, mixing well. Add onion, olives, 1/2 the cheese and shrimp; stir well. Stir in noodles. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased shallow 2-quart casserole. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese melts. Serves 6-8.

L00ks like it's a red meat night at the Table. We ended up having the left0ver curried chicken salad fr0m last night. Had a call fr0m a dear friend I hadn't talked with f0r a while. Had a t0n 0f catching up t0 d0. Jasdip and Rhiz0--th0se "0's" are driving me right up the wall! Marilyn, it must be y0ur lucky week! I l0ve redfish but with all the restricti0ns 0n size, etc., they're getting pretty rare in restaurants. Raven, d0 y0u have a sm0ker? I sure miss having 0ne. Harry used t0 make the best sm0ked p0rk--and turkey. Sure miss that! Tami, I haven't had Swiss steak in years! What cut beef d0 y0u use? Cheryl and I took Lily to the vet for Amber as Lily had a dental appointment. We left her as she would be there all day. From there we went to a near by town and shopped. Went to the Dollar Tree, Joann's and Hobby Lobby and going to Meijer for a few things later. We had a great lunch at the Golden Corral. I had a fried chicken leg, meatloaf, buttered fish, pot roast vegetables, a baked sweet potato, coleslaw, a salad, a piece of carrot cake, a little bit of peach cobbler with ice cream on it and a piece of some kind of yummy chocolate ball coated in chopped peanuts. All the food was really good. No supper for me tonight. I came home and a couple hours later I rode with Amber and Alyssa to pick up Lily who did fine. It was a good day. I just made a big tray of meat, cheese, crackers, assorted fresh vegetables and some dip. If I can drag myself down to the freezer in the basement, I will pull out some steaks to throw on the grill tonight. I don't know why I am feeling so sluggish for the past couple days.

We are having heart-shaped meatloaf, mashed potatoes, sweet and sour red cabbage. I've been making this same meal for Valentine's Day for over 40 years. It started as a fun thing for the kids but has continued. funny thing, I have two girls and two boys....the boys have continued the tradition. I get a kick when my son calls every year for the recipe. He has a new girlfriend so it will be her first year for heart-shaped meatloaf. Hope she likes it. I forgot I didn't have any iceberg lettuce so after I put the meatloaf in the oven, I ran out to the grocery store. We're having a lettuce wedge with blue cheese dressing to go with it.

HMM I have tortellini salads planned, but I am not feeling like fixing it;( I would like to go out , but have heard it was even a zoo at several restaurants just for lunch. YES and and I know this to be true~~I over heard the butcher at the grocery store, talking to a customer about the crowds ;) LOL!! You know you can believe a butcher eh??

So I will see when DH gets home from the gym, if he wants to go out~~get take out or eat what I planned;)

We do not celebrate V-day ever, he is hit and miss with gifts~~he gave me a darling glass ladybug garden stake;) So when I was out grocery shopping today, I bought him his beloved Kettle Corn and a big candy bar. Hoping he will share ;)

ended up doing baked potatoes and dh chose chip beef filling over a tuna based one...it really tasted sooo good after not feeling the best today...i can't have potassium rich potatoes very often so it was a double delight, lol....

Shirley, I feel f0r y0u. The dreaded big sh0pping day. It's getting them all in the h0use that wears me 0ut. At least five trips with as many bags as I can carry. Then w0ndering where the heck I'm g0ing t0 put all that stuff. That salad s0unds delici0us!

I actually cooked a full meal tonight. Remember hubby does most of ours. I made pork tenderloin medallions in a mushrooom wine sauce, sauteed spinach and spaghetti with garlic and oil. We don't do anything for Valentiner's Day, but loved Georgy's mom's story.

wheeee doggeeee we went to the Boat and had the steam boat platter, boiled shrimp, crawfish, and king crab legs with boiled red potatoes and corn on the cover. But he had brought me a box of a dozen giant strawberries dipped in white and regular chocolate and a piece of New York Cheesecake. I will be saving all that for another day, I will share some with my cleaning lady tomorrow.
