I am having a baked chicken breast with left over corn. Tom is having chili, which I don't care for. Why didn't you have your dinner last night?

First: YES, had a good start of the day.
I said I wasn't but changed my mind and went to zumba. So glad I went, and I did pretty dang good, so I'll continue to go.

Then went to The Diplomat for the best bowl of chili.

Then bought me a jar of Peter Pan pb, and had it for an afternoon treat.

We have Wine and Dine tonight. The restaurant we're going to is not my favorite but they have chicken with lettuce wraps on the menu and I've had it before. It's pretty good so that's what I'm having. DH is ordering their Reuben sandwich which is also known to e pretty good. Why fight City Hall.

Pam, the chicken s0unds g00d, but the chili s0unds even better. It's chilly here. The reas0n we didn't have that dinner last night is because a friend (0f 50 years) called. We had a l0t 0f catching up t0 d0, s0 we just had left0ver curried chicken salad and muffins. Talking with my friend was much m0re fun than c00king :-)

Cooking right now, bratwurst with red/orange/yellow/green pepper slices, tossing that with some olive oil and pasta...it is YUM

Beef bulgar casserole, a baked potato, and steamed corn.

Cold, overcast with some sort of precipitation (some rain, some snow). A good day to stay indoors.

Salmon loaf and green saad

I have been cleaning and reorganizing the kitchen and pantries and I am tired so will probably cook a deli pizza. if not it will be leftovers or sandwiches. But things are looking much better in the kitchen. My plan is to tackle it one cabinet at a time. I think I'm gonna have a lot of stuff to go in our neighborhood yard sale.

Half leftover tuna sandwich and roasted vegetables (sugar snap peas, cauliflower, red pepper, onion). Acquired a taste for black olives and had chopped olives added to the sandwich.

Mac n cheese for lunch. Dinner was at the Tackle Box 2 in Fremont. One pound of walleye, with fries and coleslaw. Total for 2, $19.26 + $3 tip. All in quarters! DH forgot his wallet, and it's an hour drive! I had only a little cash. We raided the console and the glove box, knowing we had lots of quarters! Delicious! Made our waitress's day! She said so.

Patti, it's not really a wine tasting. We have a group of 7 couples that go out to dinner once a month. Each month a different couple hosts. They serve cocktails and appetizers and pick a restaurant for us to go to. Each couple gets separate checks so we're free to order as much or as little as we want because we pay our own way. We just call it Wine and Dine. Actually, we call our group Fun and Dine because there are many groups in our area and we've all been in groups that were more like Whine and Dine! This group got together about eleven years ago and we have a really nice time.

had a bit of stomach problems so only ate toast for dinner...dh had mashed and fish (he's still on soft foods, healing extraction)

i'm hoping we are both 100% tomorrow for valentines day...want to make bakers with stuffing (havn't decided what) it's a fave dinner!
