I have gray wisp in our bedroom and throughout the house. Love that color! I have dark brown bedding with seafoam pillows and lamps. Here's a picture although the lighting isn't great. I also think a rustic red-ish color would look great with it and that's what I plan to do with our living room eventually.

peachy? no, not here. i have it up, lit by a 40 watt wall sconce. i went out and had a sample mixed just yesterday and painted it on a 5x8 wall. i even put up the art that i have planned for the space. it looks perfect. color is relative to it's surroundings so if you put other colors next to it you'll actually comprehend the tones a bit differently. i love annapolis because of it's absence of a lot of yellow or red so it doesn't seem TOO beige, really. it reads quite gray/stone next to the other sample i bought: pismo dunes. now THAT is beige. really beige; like camel. dark with a lot of yellow and red. no gray at all. annapolis in comparison is more like stone, i'd say a creamy, gray stone. sorry, did i just say the same thing five times?! color is a personal thing though. it may not be for everyone but it's my new love! p.s.: i also picked up a sample of quiet moments in my travels which is a very pale, gray-blue. i think i'll use that in the guest bath. gorgeous color!

Thank you so much, Ingrid. I really appreciate your kind words. I think having elements that continue from space to space help to unify an open area. Cabinet hardware in the kitchen that is similar in color to door handles in the family room, for example. Flooring and woodwork that carries throughout. I've probably been a little more careful in editing my colors in the kitchen than in the adjacent spaces, and I think it also helps to have a healthy mix of neutrals. OP, I'd love to see photos of your space if you have any to share.

@funcolors wow, you might be the color angel I’ve been needing as I drive myself crazy with whites! We’re repainting all interior doors and trim (prior owners left 3 trim colors, some doors that don’t match frames, etc), so we’re looking for a nice clean white. we have BM mascarpone in our family room and love it, so had planned to expand that through the open concept downstairs as well as stairway. will simply white read too stark against mascarpone? In some areas it seems to a bit, and in bright areas it doesn’t at all. We want to be consistent through the house (and my husband doesn’t like idea of mascarpone on the doors and trim and wants a truer white) , and have ultra pure white in 2 kid rooms (their choice!), and simply white is a huge improvement over the trim and doors there now, which look almost brown in comparison. Basically my Q is: Will we regret Simply White as too stark against creamy, dreamy mascarpone? Or worse, will they clash or look like we failed in an attempt to match? thanks for any help! :)
