I'd use a coral or darker coral, even rusty color. Funny because I'm helping someone right who has painted her new kitchen/family room addition in Gray Wisp and finds the room too cold and is looking for ways to warm it up too. We are starting by looking at area rugs that are primarily warmer colors (reds, rusts, oranges) but that have a small amount of the blue. Depending on your bedroom style, I could envision an old or vintage-looking oriental rug with a lot of dark red and just a touch of light blue. Of course you didn't ask about rugs but you could do the same with bedding!

bronwynsmom- I have a question for you. If we decide to use Powell Buff on my bedroom walls, do you think Window Pane could be used successfully on the ceiling? We are thinking about going with the P.B. because we are trending toward a more neutral color for our bedroom and using the Window Pane, Rainwashed, or Sea Salt in our master bath. Our tile flooring in the bathroom is the color along the lines of the colors I have mentioned. Can't go too blue because of that. If you think one of those three would look better as a ceiling color for the bedroom I would appreciate your ideas. Thanks so much for all of your suggestions. I love the sea salt color too. The way the color wheel goes green is the "warmest" of the cool colors and violet is the coolest. The most common theory of warm and color means splitting the color wheel in half and calling half warm and half cool. It's really an oversimplification of color that's not very useful. Perceptually, we don't sense color as a warm and cool continuum from one side of the color wheel to the other. Rather, warm and cool is a spectrum within each hue family. It's more useful, and arguably more accurate, to break out warm and cool in terms that are aligned to how we actually perceive colors. In the case of this color wheel, warm and cool is designated in the context of the human gamut of color - which is all the colors we can see plus colors that can't be seen or made (yet). When we reframe warm and cool in this context, then it's easy to see that there are indeed blues that are warmer compared to other colors in the same hue family (blue). Warm blues, from saturated to grayed, are from about 235° to 252°. Translated to paint colors, warm blues would be colors in this range: CW-660 CHISWELL BLUE, Benjamin Moore Williamsburg Color Collection HC-145 VAN COURTLAND BLUE, Benjamin Moore Classic colors AF-550 AMSTERDAM, Benjamin Moore Affinity colors 2127-50 PIKE'S PEAK GRAY, Benjamin Moore Color Preview

We definitely prefer grays and blues. Neutral. I think there's no way around picking warmer colors to match that wall, but we already have gray upholstered mid-century-type furniture and would like to put that stamp here too if possible. We had planned to use a greige/gray, beige, slate blue color palette, but I was mostly curious if that blue would be too off-putting in this stone wall dining room.
