Please help me find online paint color s/w

A while back, one of the major paint companies had online software where you could pick out a color or two and it would show you potential attractive color combinations that would go with the color you picked. I just went looking for it, but can't find it, and unfortunately I can't remember which paint company it was.

Does anyone know where it is, if it still exists, please?

I feel your pain. It is just so hard to know what to do with this stuff. And in my bathroom, all the little extras are in that peachy pink color. Toilet paper holder, towel bar holder, toothbrush thingy.... Looks like we have the identical tub: and maybe toilet, too. Ours is American Standard: Different sink - yours looks like there might be storage somewhere under the sink. Instead of exposed plumbing. "You can't get a mud job like that these days" I tried to take closeup pictures of this weird paint job on the walls, but really the second to last picture in this post shows the colors best. Pink, peach, mint, and LAVENDER. I really detest this paint job, although I'm sure it took forever to do. So now I'll prowl through savethepinkbathrooms.com and elsewhere to get ideas about what to do with these walls. I'd love to know what you come up with! bean

A lighter color would look nice. I would try to match the stone work in front, or at least doesn't clash with it..Color??I went with a beige, isn't everybody. One color I was leaning towards was graige (not sure of the spelling Sherwin Williams carries it), a cross between gray and beige.

To answer your questions, I don't have many accessories in those rooms yet (new house) so it truly is a clean slate. Most of my home is painted Tobacco Road, except for the bedrooms which are a light gold (SW Ivoire). But as linelle pointed out, gold DOES NOT work in these bathrooms! Ick! I tend to be drawn to "autumnal" shades, for lack of a better term -- rusts, tans, sage greens, golds, etc. My office is SW Grassland, so I am open to sagey greens, but I didn't want the bathroom to be too dark. I do like the look of Dry Sage in Red's photo, but it looks as if she gets a lot of natural light. I might pick up a sample though. I'll look at Austere Gray too. What's BM's name for Silver Sage again? I don't have access to RH but I do have BM.

North facing rooms will be dark most of the day and pick up purple tones from any paint. I would look carefully at the undertones and the formulas to ensure you don't have a lot of red and blue if you can't tell from the paint itself. I had a home with a north facing kitchen that I actually wanted to bring out the purple in so I purposefully went with a barely periwinkle gray that appeared full on periwinkle in that space. I suspect you don't want purple in your room. North facing rooms will also make your color appear deeper so you want something with a high light reflective value. My vote is for BM Gentle Cream.

Igloo -- now you know my secret. I'm hopelessly compelled to embarrass myself on a semi-regular basis. The good thing is it lowers people's expectations so when I don't totally screw things up it impresses them. ;-D

Kitchendetective -- no, that's not it, but thanks very much for the suggestion. It's a commercial paint company. I suspect they have changed their interfaces since I last viewed them and that's my problem.

I would select a color, then with a click it would suggest several different harmonious pallets including that color, showing me a picture of colors that looked good with whatever I had chosen. It was pretty useful.

Oceana, if you drag and drop in the Color Visualizer mcps suggested, it does give you suggested coordinating colors.

IIRC Behr's visualizer site does this too. Not a fan of Behr paint personally, but it was an interesting widget on the site.

I think they said we will be in red for quite a while. Nothing a little silver green couldn't help, I say.

It's about time gold came back into fashion!!

Instead of harvest gold on my washer and dryer, i'm going to store the 24k stuff on the finish just in case I have to melt it down or spin it off!

We should all go over there and have a cat fight about paint colors LOL that would confuse the forum a bit.

Mari, it may have been Behr, as I like their paint. I'll have to mess around with it. Does it give you several color combinations? Or just one?

Bodica, that was pretty cool, thanks. But is that all it does, just illustrate those 4 pallets?
