I guess I'm not a food snob after all.

Not that I ever really thought of myself as a food snob. But I've always liked international cuisine, and flavors some might consider to be exotic. I thought I raised my kids to have adventurous taste buds. However, I was just reading a restaurant review from New York magazine's website, and stopped when I came to this description. The reviewer loved this stuff, but it doesn't sound appetizing to me. Do you find it appealing?

After the amuses, our table was treated to a salad of big green Brussels-sprout leaves, balanced with salty serrano ham and slivers of sweet Bartlett pear, all bound with a thin layer of cauliflower purée. Then came an interesting composition of breaded lambÂs tongue, fried to an almost tempuralike crunchiness, followed by braised pork belly, which the chef cuts in little squares, sweetens with sherry-cooked shallots, and blends with kale, frizzled maitake mushrooms, and a single, barely poached egg.
