You should cut and paste several mirror sizes and shapes onto your elevation. This will give you an idea which one will look right. Have you looked on Houzz.com for ideas?

It's really hard to find pics with the door between the vanities, especially a front on shot. I think I would like larger mirrors in your room...I found this with oversized ones, but you said you didn't want to clean so much mirror and I don't blame you, but maybe it will help you decide if the look is worth it.

I don't think these are as large as yours and there is no door between them, but you can see that the scale of the mirrors is quite large and they've used hanging lights instead of sconces, which adds another dimension to such a large space.

I think these are smaller vanities, too, but shows smaller mirrors with sconces in proportion. I think with all that wall, I'd want larger, heavier looking mirrors.

Sconces are, IMO, so much nicer than lighting above mirrors. They'll also allow you to put in smaller mirrors (i.e.: the bottom photo), which is a real plus considering what mirrors cost. Your bathroom must be fairly large to be abler to have two sizable vanities running along one wall, along with a door, so you want mirrors plus sconces to be in scale with the room.

FYI: Recommended to another GWer this hardware for hanging mirrors, paintings, etc. Makes the job sooooooo easy (see link). No trying to get wires over nails; comes with a level you pop into the piece going on the wall when screwing it in, so you know the mirror will be levelâ¦.these are a great invention. You can get them at Home Depot. Be sure to get the heavy one (200 lbs.) for mirrors.

You have enough wall space that you might want a narrow cabinet on top of the counter for storage. We built ours with an appliance garage and an outlet inside to plug in things like toothbrushes and such. We built ours with a bridge across the top and the inset mirror with the sconce through the mirror to double the light. You actually have enough space to do that surround for both sinks and get oodles of storage.

Otherwise, you will need good sized mirrors and sconces to help furnish the wall.

Thanks everyone! I had checked for images on houzz but had not been very successful at finding anything. We have talked about doing a cabinet tower to take up some of the space, too.
