It's really hard to find pics with the door between the vanities, especially a front on shot. I think I would like larger mirrors in your room...I found this with oversized ones, but you said you didn't want to clean so much mirror and I don't blame you, but maybe it will help you decide if the look is worth it. I don't think these are as large as yours and there is no door between them, but you can see that the scale of the mirrors is quite large and they've used hanging lights instead of sconces, which adds another dimension to such a large space. We don't know the exact measurements of the sink base. If it's 24", which is a standard size, it looks like there's 1" in the vertical trim, a 9" drawer, and 2" in the leg, giving you 12" on each side of the sink base. If that's the case, you could place your sconce 3" in from the edge of the vanity, which you'd really want if there's a wall on one side. Then you'd have 5" for the sconce and 4" between the sconce and the mirror--with a 24" mirror. I personally feel 24" is too narrow for a 48" vanity. I have one over my 36" vanity. If you're using a bath bar type sconce, they look fine placed closer to the mirror or closer to a wall. You could add those inches to the mirror. Here's a few photos from my Ideabook. You can see that the mirror is wider than the sink base, pushing the sconces out to the ends, which is okay when there's no side wall. If it doesn't work out, I'd consider mounting the sconces on a full-width mirror (46") and then you can space them within the recommended width for best lighting for the face.

Okay maybe I’ll go back to original color (creamy). The walls were white before, but it felt very plain to me. Can I use a chandelier or pendant if there’s a shower in there? There’s not enough room for sconces ...

With a mirror that large you might need help. "IF" clips are "ONLY" on top and bottom but non on sides,try slideing mirror left or right. If mirror will slide but is stopped by wall in both directions,slide in one direction and remove exposed clips then slide other direction. If the mirror is indeed glued,run mono fishing line or piano wire between wall and mirror in a sawing motion to cut glue. BTW,if the mirror break's,you will only have 3.5 years bad luck. Guess who get's the other 3.5 years. (:
