Wall sayings....will you share some really good ones please

We had a post on here once about wall sayings.

At that time I ran across one I just loved.

Now that my daughter has a machine to cut the letters out I want her to make it for me.......but......I can't remember what it was....I should have written it down...but I probably wouldn't be able to find it.

I don't know if it might have been one that one of you KTers shared or a link to some that someone shared.

Please share some...if I can't find the one (not even sure I'll recognise it....I'm a mess..lol)

Maybe I'll find another one I love.

My birthday is coming up and I'd like to have her cut it for me for my birthday.

Good luck remembering it Patti! I even went so far as to write down 2 family sayings I want for my photo wall....thinking if I could I'd order from somewhere....what do you suppose happened???? I CAN'T FIND THE STINKING PAPER! argh!

Oh wow, NC - that's interesting! I had forgotten that "initial", yes I vaguely remember hearing that in some in some dim past. Angie, me too. We need a whole thread devoted to what we trashed and why. I wonder if I still have any photos of the termite mounds of shavings? Or the completely-eclipsed counter? Or the baggie-laden clothesline? Or the tile: that was *the* most hideous tile I have seen *anywhere*. period. We need a thread to find who had the most hideous former tile.... fwiw, the layout in my old kitchen was pretty OK-ish, permitting for 14 years of life in it. Some grumbling, but definitely live-in-able considering what so many in the world have to put up with. But I was always afraid one day those termites would chew up the last thread holding the uppers to the wall... Oh yeah, there was that hole that permitted the rat to run down from the attic; it wasn't great either. Once I closed a cabinet door on the poor thing's tail. I can still see it there, hanging down ... might even have a picture somewhere. shudder. I let him go eventually, slooping up his tail up and away; seemed the best of a string of really bad choices. Eventually we got on a first-name basis.

Still need help pretty please! Lavender lass-No I am too afraid to continue on to the site. When I click on it there is a warning about StopBadware.org. I haven't changed my settings and this has never happened before. The only thing I can think of is when the computer updates itself mabey it is installing more secured software, if that makes sense. I just want to find colors she (Candice Olson) uses in smaller basements for the walls and couch. I am not sure what paint color would look good with the Oat microfiber couch from Pottery Barn. The color of the couch above is not accurate. It is about 2 shades darker in person. More like this. Sorry for all of the pics but if anyone else could give me feedback on paint color that would go with this couch. Three that I am concidering are BM Muslin and BM slate or silvery blue. Or do I keep it monochromatic because of the small space? Interesting how the couch color changes with not only lighting but surrounding wall color and accessories. Thanks for looking

It is a sable colored Labradoodle. He was chocolate brown as puppy, but as he grew, he changed to sable. DD wanted a dog with a even, gentle temperament, that was hypoallergenic, that did not shed, and that could be trained. She and DSIL got the dog about 2 years before the twins came along. He went to boarding school for a month when he was 4-6 months old. Then whenever they would go out of town, they would board the dog for the weekend and he’d get “refresher training.” Plus, DD and DSIL were careful to not undermine his training. When the babies came along, he was calm and gentle around them. If the twins got boisterous, the dog would just move to another room. Our neighbors have a Goldendoodle. She is a good bit more rambunctious. I don’t know if that is an issue with the breed or if it is an issue with training.

When we moved into our 1960’s bungalow, it had many rooms with “bold” accent walls. These served to make the rooms dark and closed in. We repainted the entire main floor with BM Cloud White (which has a creamy tone to it). Baseboards and trim plus the kitchen cabinets were done in BM Chantilly Lace (which is a brighter white.) The floors and interior doors are birch hardwood with a lot of colour variation. The transformation was stunning. The consistency of birch floors and white walls on the entire main floor gave the space a light, airy feel. The white looks different depending on which room you are in and where the light is coming from. I can’t say enough good things about all white walls. I would do it over again in a heart beat.

This is ours...The first pic is the recent incarnation of the saying. I wanted something a bit different so I stenciled it on some plates. The second pic is from when we first renovated the kitchen (about 10 years ago). It's when I first decided the saying was perfect for us.

Oh my! MrsMarv - what a beautiful kitchen you have!!! Such a beautiful view - love the wall words - and they were very clever on the plates too.

I saw a quote by Abraham Lincoln once on a sign in a shop. I wrote it down to save, and I'll be danged if I could find it. I did countless searches for old Abe's quotes, but could never find that one.
