I read recently that George Clooney is still learning Italian. I don't know what was going on with him. I agree that the 'glaring looks' were just part of a gag but he acted so odd on the red carpet. I couldn't decide if he had been drinking, in a bad mood or had a fight with his girlfriend. And I didn't care for his shaggy locks. I don't find Sarah Jessica Parker attractive and it seems she selects her gowns just for their conversation points rather than what might be attractive. Her hairstyle reminded me of an elaborate geisha. Doogie was awful. I fear he's on the verge of over exposure. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin weren't too bad but they certainly weren't all that entertaining either. Miley Cyrus needs a posture lesson and someone to help her select a dress that fits and is becoming. But then I got a glimpse of her mother last night and now I know why she looked the way she did. Many of the women were just lovely and I enjoyed their gowns - Meryl, Helen Mirren, Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, Sigourney Weaver. I didn't even miss the musical numbers until someone here mentioned them. I loved that UP won. That's going to be one of my all time favorites.

Lady gag-me, I don't get her appeal and I suspect I never will. She is NOT musically talented and she is NOT attractive. I equate her to the circus sideshow; a lot of people want to watch because she is an anomaly; put her in a room full of actual talented musical artists who are at least moderately attractive and no one would ever notice her. I don't begrudge her success, I would do the same if given the chance BUT, she is a moderate singer with less than average looks who has ridden a tidal wave to success. As a stand alone, she doesn't pull the weight she is afforded and she took on the diva complex before it was earned; calling her followers her "little monsters" She strikes me as the latest celeb trying to cash in before everyone realizes what a fraud she is. Did anyone catch her "tribute" to David Bowie?!? His son was offended, as I was.

I stopped watching it years ago although I do go to some sites to see what people wear. Most are welcome to whatever it is that they taped to their body but few show any cut or real design. I do also look to see what the winning song was. While this year was a great dance number a song to me should have some words that people can sing along with if they want. I gave up on the other songs after listening for a few moments since the ones I watched/listened to seem to be torturing their voices or it was more about the visual rather than the song.
