After viewing allll of these again and really looking I am still in fav. of the purple it doesn't need anything done to it...it covers her "girls" but doesn't squish them....and the back is just to die for.....but what the heck do I know??? Stacy

WoW! She looks great in either one. I like the purple one the best, just because the back is so interesting, and different. But the aqua one is beautiful too. That would be a hard decision! Good Luck.

Both are beautiful dresses but I like the aqua color on her better. I think the color looks better with her hair color and skin tone. I also think that style is more flattering on her. And I love the classic gown look.

I like the purple, too. She is such a lovely girl! I remember when my first daughter went prom dress shopping. We went to three dress shops, she tried on so many, and luckily her best friend came along to give encouragement. She ended up with a white dress with a big black sash. It needed tons of alterations to make it fit. I saved that dress. She can remove the sash and use it as a wedding dress, LOL!

Gosh, I hate to sound so picky, but.... lol The top of the purple one makes her look pulled down. Aged, if you will. I think it's the angle of the straps.

The aqua blue one is better, but the shirring at the waist/torso adds pounds and thickness and while I love the back, the X looks too high and uncomfortable.

Oh, I don't envy the two of you the decision, Stacy! What a pain shopping can be. Make it easy on yourselves and get the white one. lolol It's nice but not too serious and she could actually wear it again, like to a summer bash.

They are beautiful but I still think they are the kind that she would be uncomfortable in all evening

Well I now have it allll figured out.....Since Mingo is just a hop skip and jump she can make a tailer made dress for sydney and I won't have to deal with anything....just Sydney and Mingo!! sounds perfect to me....LOL Maybe she will find "the one" tonight.....Stacy

Im sure your daughter is reading all these comments and saying, Oh what do they know, they are all old ladies" lol. I had my 16 year old daughter look at them all too. She liked the black dress but thought it was too much for a prom. She thought the aqua dress did nothing to flatter your daughters body. The green dress looked too old for her. She liked the purple the best and thought with a better bra and a good pair of spanx it would look much better.

I agree with your daughter. Maybe it's the camera because I've seen other pictures where she looks really fit, but those just don't do it for me. Had to laugh because I'd be on Mingo's doorstep in a heartbeat. Nothing worse than dress/gown shopping with a daughter! So if they can work out what she really feels great in, I say go for it!

Okay, so far I like the purple one and the Plain and simple, but different. The others just aren't prom (that one was gorgeous..with all the swirl and long train..that would be stepped on all night and she'd get sick of carrying)..or just didn't look good on her....not because of her figure, but because of her coloring.

I was soooo lucky. DD#1 went shopping with her friends, and DD#2 didn't go to prom. I hate shopping with them for clothes.

She looks awesome in the purple...add some long but simple rhinestone earrings (the straps and the back are plenty of bling)...and clear sexy sandles with silver straps and silver hills! A beautiful orchid on that tiny wrist along with Mr. Right! And tell her before she makes her choice, white cumberbums and tales are to die for...would he wear or carry a purple hat and a cane. Sweet!

She pulls off every dress...from the back (oh wait, except that disco ball one). But she seems like she's slouching in that purple one. It's definitely cute. I think the camera flash is picking up on (and lighting up) every slight curve/bulge. I'll bet you never see those in person unless you are in an extremely bright room.

I like the purple one better but I thing a strapless cut with support is the most flattering to her.Like the black ruffled dress. I don't care for it because of too much train to deal with but the cut of the top is best.

These are better than those others, but not much. The blue one will not be flattering because of the way the waist is made, but the colors good on her. One of my GDs got a great one on e-bay once, and I think girls around here started favoring the tea length dresses. That's tough walking w/ all that fabric around your ankles.

Thanks guys and no she is in school so she has not read all this...but I think once she sees her pics on the screen she will see what everyone else sees.....The purple is still my fav. Yes a good bra and spanx and she would look really nice in it..I am still voting on a personal seamstress Mingo!!! LOL Stacy

The back of the purple dress is really pretty, but HER back looks gorgeous in the aqua dress!

The aqua! It is the only one that made her smile! It is a pretty dress, and flattering...just might need a little stitch to contain the girls! Have fun...I'm sooooo glad I had sons!
