Trying to remember a KT user's name.

Does anyone remember what Dottie's KT name was? I know she lived in Indianapolis when she first joined and then moved to Oklahoma to be near her daughter.

Chose mine when I was on AOL and just kept using it. I was working as an administrative assistant, but was still being called a secretary. Sooo, I just shortened Secretary Steve (as one of my bosses called me) to secsteve. True story about using that handle. While giving someone my information about where to send an email, I gave them the email address, there was a very long pause and then "was that sexsteve?" As you can image I completely lost it,

I like using whatever moniker people list, as long as it's quick and easy to type. Too many letters and numbers that don't "click" in my brain or long, drawn out names, stress me out when trying to remember and type them. I get them transposed too much of the time and worry about insulting the poster. That's why I'll always try and remember a person's given name, if they do post it. I imagine that this is the main reason why people try and shorten a poster's moniker, too. Personally, I like just being called by my given name, Lynn, and in retrospect, wish I would have picked the simpler "LynnNM" instead of "Lynninnewmexico". I wish I could change it! Funny thing, though, I'm almost always referred to here as Lynne (with an "e") for some reason. It doesn't bother me a bit. I'm just thankful for the wonderful people on this forum with good advice, great pics and good (& forgiving!) senses of humor! And I'll try to call you whatever you prefer. (just)Lynn

"Do you see xxxxx xxxxx ( Houzz) or xxxxx xxxxx (Facebook)? I wonder if that is because I usually log in with Facebook?" Is the ability to see a user's real name (or whatever they used as a real name to signup) new? I thought it was always appended to the end of ones profile URL and visible by visiting the user's profile or hovering their display name? If that's what you mean, it can be changed. Up to two times per year it says. https://www.houzz.com/changeUsername Edit: I see this was posted elsewhere but... I'll post it anyway. And no, my real name isn't chuggerguy. And it has nothing to do with drinking. I'm a slowpoke and sort of "chug" along, especially while backpacking uphill. :-)

I used to be just "gazania" because I love the plant and it is a 'fun' word to say. Then when Houszz got involved, for some reason I had to reup to the forum. I chose lgmd for the disease that was responsible for the disability I have and added gaz so maybe I would still be recognized by some. However soon after doing that, my disease was reidentified by new available DNA testing. I haven't changed the lgmd part because it seems it would be too much hassle. To be correct I should now be sma3_gaz.

Yes Wanda, that's me. After 27 years in Arizona, the lurker and I moved back to Indiana to be near family.

I have a new great grandson that was born Christmas morning, 2012 and expecting another great grandbaby in August. Thanks for asking.

Dottie also went by Ima Twosacker. Miss her, so much, and her partner-in-crime, Marlen.

I used one of Marlen's recipes recently and kept remembering all the fun we had with her and Ima Twosacker. I still miss both of them!

Dottie and I enjoyed quite a few meals and phone conversations after she moved to Tulsa. She was so much fun. I reread her bathcapades (?) post whenever I want a big laugh!

I don't think "anyone" has ever made me laugh so much as Dottie and Marlen. I miss them both too.

I also miss Bonnie and keep wondering how Harley and Griff are doing.

This post sure is neat. I met Dottie. She was a hoot. Didn't join till Marlen was already gone.

But there are so many people missing, that where active here when I first joined... and the conversation tone changed so much... and the laughter is missing.
