Did you check the hole to hole measurement, not the length of the pulls? The hole to hole measurement on the 31/2 pull you posted is 3". I am wondering if the hole to hole is the same on the 3 3/4 (if you are going by the measurement of the existing pull) That is what you need to be concerned about.

As for the color, I would first consider the color of the cabinets. If they are white or cream, either would work. If they are darker wood, you might be concerned about whether the ORB is going to show up as well. Also, keep in mind that the ORB finish will change over time, and more of the brass will come through. If the handles get a lot of use, you will see that wear faster.

Thanks, Les. The center to center is 3 3/4". The cabinets are a dark cherry. So you think brushed nickel looks ok on dk cherry cabinets? I just am not sure if it's the finish AND the contempory pulls or just the fact that they are so contempory looking. So you think I should match the appliances instead of the faucet?

I have the exact pulls and I have never seen them in that size, mine are 5" CC. I just looked for you where I purchased mine and on top knobs site but found nothing in the size you need. I agree with Les about doing the brushed nikel, I think ORB would get lost with the color of the cab. I will keep looking and if I find anything I will post back.

This site had one very much like yours, but the hole to hole choices were 3, 3 1/2 and 4 only. I thought this pull was similar and as attractive, and it comes in the 96mm you need:

I think brushed nickel on the dark cherry would be very pretty. What you might do is order a pull that you like in both colors and try them on the cabinets. Live with them for a couple of days and see which one really speaks to you.

Truly, I am not worried about matching the appliances or the faucet, my first thought would be what is best with the cabinetry and countertops. The hardware is like jewelry for the cabinets, and you want it to look wonderful on them.

Think of it this way: If you had chosen white appliances, you wouldn't be likely to put white pulls on the cabinets, would you?

I found birdcage pulls on ebay. I know its not the same but they are very pretty and also french country.

I have the 5" on my guest bath cabinets. The ORB and dark cherry look very rich together. Have ORB and cherry in the master bath and they look good.

I don't think that you can find the size you are wanting.

In the kitchen, I have brushed nickle, to match the stainless. I think they look equally good together.

yes the orb/cherry cabs look nice. I couldn't visualize it in my head but seeing it looks good. But then again NHB, your whole house is gorgeous from the pics you have posted on here!

NHB, I agree that the ORB looks very nice on your cabinets. But then, I would not consider those to be 'dark cherry' as the OP described hers. Maybe I just don't know what dark cherry is! LOL

Les, maybe it's me who doesn't know what dark cherry is. LOL I certaintly do not have the decorating touch. I know what I love from seeing all of your homes, but have no idea how to achieve it. I am posting a picture of cabinets. They maybe just appear so dark to me. Maybe a medium cherry would describe them better. Also, is a pic of the granite 'cause I have no idea what it is called since the previous owner selected it.

Your beautiful DR furniture appears to be dark cherry. Your cabinets could be cherry wood, just not dark cherry. Your home is really beautiful.

I understand your wanting to change out the hardware, but if you used a brushed nickel, would it clash with your DR furniture's hardware more than the ORB? Just asking. I think it would look nice but I am by no means an expert.

I agree, your cabinets are a lighter cherry wood.

les917 - Those bathroom cabinets are just about as dark as you can get in the cherry family. I forgot that they also have a chocolate glaze on them (my daughters choice) and since that photo, they have aged even more. Also, the section in the foreground looks lighter because the flash caught it.

I can't find any ORB pulls, but an ebay seller told me dark brushed antique copper was very similar. Will these work with my pictured faucet? Thanks!\
