See 'H' on the following link. There's a few more on that site as well - go to hardware on the lee vally site, click on collections and suites, then click on page 16 - there's a few different mission style ring pulls like this, some with little backplates, some without like the one linked below. Great choice! I love them. :)

If she wants a relatively organic option, spinosad is listed as killing thrips. She should spray every surface of the plants, including flowers/buds, the undersides of leaves, etc. Repeat 3 days later to kill the thrips that were eggs for the first spray or managed to hide. I would repeat again a few days later. Spinosad is a bit more broad-spectrum than most biologicals, so she should do it in the evening after the bees are finished.

Patty, that is an interesting question. Professor Roush (see his blog at http://kansasgardenmusings.blogspot.com/) brought up a related question after RRD decimated his Buck rose collection. Roush wondered if roses from different genetics, in his case the OGRs like the gallicas, were more resistant. I have never seen, knock on wood, RRD in my big patch of native roses, but I just found it in a plant of Rosa canina. I have a huge (20' by 25') plant of Rosa setigera next to the Rosa canina, so I will be watching...The R. setigera leaves are kind of fuzzy -- very different from both R. canina or the leaves of typical HTs. I will be curious to see what answers you get! Sunny

Thanks for the input so far. I appreciate your photos & recommendations Flo. Denita, I had to laugh out loud when you mentioned colorblind. Sometimes I do think my h is. I once had a boyfriend that I did not know was color blind until I went shopping for clothes with him once, I am posting a photo of the home we just purchased this past summer. It needs lots of attention inside and out, but hopefully you can see the "Clay" color of the siding which is more of a taupe. Black or dark brown roofing would go nice, but we do not want green. I would love to change the siding which would not be my choice if I had purchased it. Hopefully your computer screen will show the color accurately to some degree.

Thanks for the leads but still couldn't find one that is spiral like in my picture. Notice that they don't "dangle." It looks like they are fixed. When I search I'm not even sure whether to search for a pull or a knob since they seem to be a bit of both.

I googled and found Showcase Home Products, which is the source of the picture ncamy linked to. Bet they can supply the info. Let us know. It's really unique.

Oh please Kompy, can you use your connections to find out what the hardware is...pretty, pretty please! I was hoping that you would chime in and see the ShowPlace cabinetry. This was one of their "customer name withheld by request" examples so I don't know if they would know or not but maybe it's worth a shot.
