Interesting and thanks to both of you. My rugosa Roseraie de i'hay she does indeed have crazy growth habits. Many years ago she had cane that grew in circles about 3 circles. Thought it a goner for sure. I cut it down to the ground and waited she has not been sick in all of the years since. I have just always had a feeling that rrd would be hard to spot on her. Also curious that I never have heard anyone mention a rugosa being sick. I'm not thinking it is resistant just curious. Thanks again
