Has anyone ever seen gutter like this?

The house was built 1968 and these are the original gutters that need to be desperately replaced. I don't even know how to call this style - it sits inside the soffit. Valley gutter? The problem is that water that does not drain away but sits in the middle of the gutter and I see it dripping underneath the soffit. Where can I get a gutter replacement for this type or design of gutters?

I would call several gutter companies and see what they suggest.

It is an integral or built in gutter. I would call in either an "experienced" gutter company or roofer. Not just the average coil stock gutter hanger either.

Has anyone ever seen Johnsons Brazilian Oak hand scraped?

My flooring place is trying to locate a sample of it for us to see in person. The pictures I have seen of it on the internet look kind of yellowish and uniform in color, which concerns me. I really like brazilian oak because I like the variation of colors you get with it. Will the Johnson B.O. darken over time? We had also looked at the BR-111 triangulo B.O. and loved the look of it, but would really prefer a handscraped/distressed finish with kids and a dog. Also, when doing searches on the internet of Johnson Brazilian Oak, I came across a complaint (the same one several times) about scratches in the surface. I know all wood scratches, but would the Johnson be any worse with scratches than any of the other brands? Any help anyone could provide would be greatly apreciated!

Once in a while you get a "sport" or mutation. That's how some new varieties are discovered. You can bag the flower to collect the seeds when it finishes blooming and see what happens to the offspring. If other blossoms on the same vine are normal, it's unlikely that a gene will be passed down. You can mark that vine (use a twist tie or piece of yarn) to see if more of these flowers occur.

Someone added that to extend the outer lip for one reason or another. There could have been some sort of a gutter system installed and it was removed and this is what was left from it or it could be additional overflow guard.

If that gutter is full of water, the downspout is plugged. If the downspouts are clear and water still doesn't drain, you need to do something different.

Determining why it is not draining seems to be an important step. If the framing it is attached to is sagging, that will have to be fixed whether you get new gutters or not. I would recommend you ask whoever you get to look at it to determine why that is and what they recommend. Don't just tell them you want new gutters. These may be fine and something else is going on.
