This happens to me all the time.... when I clicked on something interesting to see more or when I visited a site to order something. I don't think there's much we can do about these annoyances. Once you figure out one avoidance technique, advertisers come at you from another direction. I don't want to fiddle around with the settings, so the way I "defeat" this advertising technique is by just ignoring all the sidebar ads. Eventually they disappear. Hi Lisa, Yes, I would think that they would have their houses up already. My friend who lives in North Dakota has just had her Martins arrive, so it is time. It is absolutely NOT too late to get nesting Martins. It is VERY important to place the house in the very best location possible. Martins need large open flyways from all directions. They do not want to nest next to large trees, but they do not like to be too far away from people either. Location is EVERYTHING to them. Proximity to the Bluebird housing should not be too much of a problem for them. I wouldn't put them side by side intentionally, but many Martin landlords have BB's nesting in close proximity to their sites. What you absolutely cannot do is to allow any other cavity nester to nest inside the Martin house. It must be monitored very closely. If you see another species of bird is interested in the housing, then it needs to be closed up until you see Martins on it or around it. YES, there are many websites where Martin landlords come to discuss their colonies and are very willing to answer questions and offer advice to those who are newbies and trying to learn and establish colonies. Could Mom be up in the trees with the fledglings? Maybe she is making less trips to the nest since Pop has it handled? I have a Female Blue that refuses to feed the babies after they are 11 days old, she has done this 3 nestings in a row. She is always there for fledging but it's like she takes a week off before they go. Hope yours is OK and that the babies get off safely.

I agree, but I'm surprised how much - like, 100% - more restful and less headachey and clinical it is to use since working out how to get the Morning Glory template thingy, similar looking to GW, as background. It comes with a soft pale textured mauvey grey behind the text, which is also bigger and clearer, I think. All the glare and a bit of Houzz flimflam disappears, replaced by panels of morning glories down the sides. Not perfect, but highly recommended, nonetheless. Comtesse :¬)
