Do you like the curved shower curtain rods?
Comments (9)I put one in my kids shower tub combo. I hate shower curtains touching me too. When you install it consider what is next to the tub like the toilet try to have the curtain a bit more towards the tub and not on top of the toilet so much. We are using that bathroom now cause of a remodel and we could have moved the rod over just one more inch cause when I went to sit on the toilet the other day the shower curtain came with.. Yikes! well I just went and measured and I think were like 5" away but when you hang a curtain they poof and well you know the rest....See Morecurved shower rod options
Comments (5)Bought ours at Bed Bath Beyond with a coupon. It's a brushed nickel double rod. We hung the curtain and liner on the outer rod using double-sided hooks and we hang towels and wash cloths on the inner rod-usually on the side opposite the shower head (inside liner isn't as wet). We didn't install it as far out as we could have because it would have taken a chunk out of the already skinny room. It still makes the shower feel roomy, though, and the ends being further inside the shower has helped with water leakage outside (kids)....See MoreDouble tract, or double, curved, quality shower rod?
Comments (3)BB&B does have them, but here's a piece of advice: Also do a Google search for "double curved shower rod" AND "reviews." I have been searching for a new over-the-showerhead caddy in stainless steel (should be a quick purchase, no? hmph!) and you would be amazed at how much of the "stainless" stuff out there is just bad. Meaning getting rusty way too fast (good stainless stuff for the shower is not supposed to do that at all). I would be very wary of getting a rod from a discount store, like Marshalls, etc., unless you can find a review of the manufacturer online....See MoreCurved Shower Curtain Rod Placement
Comments (5)Interesting. I have two. In the master bathroom, I installed "The Arc" shower curtain rod myself. I just guessed at the placement. Lol. The inside edge of the bracket is 8 inches from the outside edge of the shower/tub. The other arched rod, in the other bathroom, is a cheapo from Bed, Bath & Beyond I had to rush out to get when the old one came crashing down and I had tenants coming. The old one had been installed by the prior owner, WAY too high and too far in. The new BB&B rod, inside edge of the bracket is 4 inches from the outside edge of the shower. Yet, the BB&B rod doesn't give as much elbow room as "The Arc" rod because the Arc has a much larger arch. The Arc is made from 'airplane aluminum", so it is flexible. You can even cut it to fit if you have to do so. So, the shower that has the Arc rod but which has the anchors much farther in has much more room, while the arched rod which is set farther out has less. I suspect the Moen rod is more like the BB&B rod, so 8 inches in would be WAY too much, rendering the arch of the rod all but useless....See MoreCarol_from_ny
