You sounded like me when I came home yesterday to find my 6x24 plank wood-look tile had been installed in the bathroom... in the wrong direction. It was just not what I had envisioned or wanted, and I was upset, but no way was I making him take it out. I had gotten it very cheap, job is running behind and I want to be done. Plus, my mistake for not telling the tiler which way. I had just ASSumed it was obvious it should go the other way. Well, not obvious to the tiler (though I wondered why he didn't ask, when there's a 50/50 no turning back issue like that)... but still, he didn't do anything wrong, and even my husband said he liked it the "wrong" way. Still isn't what I wanted, but the tile is gorgeous, and the effect of the color is still the same and I love it, even if I have to accept it as different from my vision. In your case, mistake = beautiful, so once your mind accepts that, you'll be good to do. :)

We only buy the Sunday paper so DH can get the TV guide. He's not as computer dependent as I am. Still wants the TV guide even though he only watches one show,The Big Bang Theory, when football season isn't here. I look at the ads and sometimes skim the paper. The quality of the print and the paper is so bad I find it annoying. I do read comics online now and then. DH reads them online daily, has a tab on his browser for them. Now I have to go check out Zits. LOL

When we can buy legal pot here next year, I'm sure we still won't be allowed to buy it from some guy who sells it from the trunk of his car, just as we can't buy our smokes or booze that way either. lol It will be sold in a store by someone who has a legal licence to sell it. :) I'm glad Canada is legalizing it FINALLY! I, personally, do not smoke it nor do I want to, but there are so many people who do just like those who enjoy a drink or two. They should have the same rights to buy their pot as those who buy booze. Not sure what our police would have done here, had it happened here and someone called the police though.

I thought yesterday was great enough, but when she came back with the perfect toast and he still found fault -- it was SOOOOO like "home."

A few years ago, the comic "Zits" was EXACTLY our life with our then teenage son.
Now we can relate more to "Pickles", too!

I love Pickles!! Absolutely howled at the toast the last couple days. I thought todays was so fitting too, DH eat WW bread and I eat white, there have been times when I accidently put white on for him....I hear the same sarcastic comment everytime "where's MY whole wheat"

LOL . . . Hubby and I have been howling at the 'toast' the last couple of days too! There have been times when I've cut the strip out, written (dh's name) on the Pickles-guy's shirt pocket and stuck it up on the fridge . . . whovever writes it sure hits home with reality :)

Yep. Our paper carries 'Pickles'. I like it.

My top choice is "Dilbert", but then, don't all techies look for him.
