I am an asian married to a brazilian for a year now. Recently ive noticed that he keeps on commenting to his sexy female facebook friends(he doesnt know them personally though) sexually rude things like humm very yummy,hummm pombuda(sexy butt),humm bucetao eu gosto(vagina i like),etc...aside from that i just read a recent message of him and a woman calling her babe and darling.I confronted him about this and told him please have some respect because he is a married man. but he got angry and told me im very possessive coz im controlling what he will write on fb...i told him theres no problem with commenting but be cautious with what u comment.He told me he is not my property and he can do whatever he wants.He told me too he is a man and he likes women. I told him yes he is a man but he is not single.He told me this is just normal in their country,but i talked to his nephews who are in a relationship,they told no they dont do what their uncle is doing...si i believe its not about the culture.I feel he has no respect for me and for our marriage.am i exaggerating?am i possessive?

Whether it is cultural or whether it's just a sleezeball at work, your husband is not someone I'd care to be married to. I find it hard to believe there is a culture which condones married people making sexually explicit comments about others they are not married to. I'm not worried if my DH makes comments like "She's pretty", but if he started saying "Nice vagina" I'd be outta there faster than a speeding bullet.
And in a marriage "You're not the boss of me" only goes so far. Even if one partner is doing something perfectly OK, if it makes the other partner unhappy a committed person would just stop doing it. It's called "compromise".
In your shoes I would be getting an exit plan together.

It does not matter if it's accepted in his culture or not. The only thing that matters is that you find it offensive and inappropriate, he is married to you, not his "culture".

I am a white guy from the 'burbs of NYC, but I spend a good part of 5 years in a latin-american country for work when I was in my late 20s. He is right in that they are a much more openly flirtatious and sensual culture (I imagine Brazil would probably top the list), But also, and I am in no way passing judgement on this, just stating what I observed, I got to know many of the people I worked with down there very well in the 5 years I was there, and I can count on one hand (and have a couple fingers left over) the number of guys there that did not cheat on their wives. It was just sort of accepted, like it was no big deal. I was shocked by this. I mean sure people cheat on their spouses in every culture, but the % of men doing it (and I am talking about dozens of guys I got to know over the years, not just a couple), and how openly they talked about it. No big social stigma or anything.

All that being said, hearing him say "He told me he is not my property and he can do whatever he wants" would certainly open up my eyes if I were you. People who are in a marriage for the right reason (love, partnership, building a family, etc.) don't take that attitude. If his behaviors bother you, and in this case, I think you are completely right in feeling that way, he needs to address this. By him saying he is his own boss and can do what he wants, well that's a pretty immature view to have.

Go read the statute.. Section 1 is for the possession or use of drug paraphernalia to plant, propagate, cultivate, grow, harvest, manufacture, compound, convert, produce, [...] a controlled substance; and is a misdemeanor, not a felony. In order to be prosecuted under that statute, they would have to prove you were using it to grow illegal crops. Section 2 is for manufacturing or delivery of said drug paraphernalia that one should reasonably know will be used to plant, propagate, cultivate, grow [...] a controlled substance.. and that is a felony of the third degree under the statute. Delivering to a minor (under 18) is a felony of the first degree. Yes, the statute stinks and is overly broad. However, there is nothing in there that would get you busted for using grow lights unless you specifically were using them to grow illegal stuff. And if you do get busted growing illegal stuff, I'm sure that this misdemeanor would be the least of your worries. What the statute really does though, is discourage any company who wants to manufacture or sell grow equipment (or even other paraphernalia such as pipes that may or may not be used for illegal purposes) from setting up shop in Florida. For them, the phrase "knowing, or under circumstances where one reasonably should know, that it will be used [...]" is the catch. Even if you are selling grow equipment for legitimate purposes, you know that it can be used for illegal activity as well.. and that's the catch. About you steering column makng strange noises, my Jeep does that too - a ghostly groaning sound! Does this noise only occur when you turn the steering wheel? And is this noise located in the inside the car? If so, its probably just as seal or cold plastic rubbing against the rotating shaft. Mine makes a strange goaning sound when cold and reduces as the interior warms up. I haven't located mine yet, but I suspect it is where the steering shaft goes through the firewall. About your ABS kicking in while going over a bump. That's normal, but scary. The first time it happened to me, it scared me and had me reaching the hand brake. One condition that can trigger this is: Approaching a stop light, the brakes are applied and one front wheel hops over a bump. It goes airborne for second and in that short instant stops rotating. The ABS sees this as an impending skid and releases the other wheel, then begins its pulsing routine. Meanwhile, the vehicle moves ever nearer the stop line and threatens to pass it. The brake pedal sinks giving one the impression that he has lost the brakes. But this is followed by pulsing and restoration of brake pedal height. The other time it may happen is when approaching a stop and not allowing enough braking distance on slippery surfaces. Some of the wheels begin to slip and the ABS kicks in. In some cars, the ABS is disabled at low speed. About your super fast left turn signal. I think that one of the left signal lamp filaments is burned out or looses circuit at times.

flue blocked can mean a pressure switch not making all the time. Some times the air movement out side can blow into the stack so the pressure switch can't make so it turn off on safety saying, flue blocked. The flame failure can be caused from the same condition from outside. Have they changed or checked the pressure to see at what pressure it will fail. later paulbm

I am so sorry you're having to go thru this. We are redoing our kitchen due to a leak - FWIW, we had the insurance pay out what it would have cost to put it back "exactly the way it was", while it was somewhat a pain to have to quote stripping and replacing wallpaper and rebuilding up the floor to the original height, this allowed us to take that money and our own funds and gut the kitchen and do it the way we wanted. Yes unplanned remodel has been a huge inconvienence and unplanned expense - but it also allowed us to remodel the way we wanted and for quite a bit less of our own money than if we had done it later. Something to think about. I'd also highly recommend getting your own contractor you trust - dont use their people unless you feel 100% comfortable with them. Have your contractor quote what it would be to put it back the way it was - have the insurance pay you out and then decide what you really want to do. Have the contractor quote it out Firm Fixed Price (FFP) for the insurance. It really sounds like you should also fight to have the cabinets declared a complete loss -- uppers and lowers due to the mold and moisture - likely less expensive too to replace with new rather than having something custom made to match the existing. if the cabs need to come out to ensure it gets dry (likely if they were in contact with the wet floor -- water seeps up boxes and damages them - then they need to take the counter out too and are likely to replace that as well. Well, you know, that sword can cut both ways. If he's "not your property" then, logically, you're not "his property." You might want to point that out to him, although somehow I suspect that in this case, what's sauce for the goose will not be sauce for the gander.

And if there's to be no sauce for you, it's probably time for you to fly away.

If he is doing something that you have said bothers you a lot, and he keeps doing it.... he is not the sort of person that knows the word "compromise".

This would set off alarm bells for any future problems and how you deal with them together.

If it doesn't feel right to you - then it isn't right.

Tread carefully.
