Thanks everyone! I have a Monsieur Tillier (Tea) I will likely move to this area since he has become too big for his current location. Others I have considered are Sally Holmes and Perle D'or. Mutabilis is a possibility too. I currently have all 3 of these growing in 15 gal. cloth pots waiting for me to decide the best place to put them. I move them around to see how they do in a spot before I finally decide to plant them in their new home. Sometimes I suffer from "Paralysis of Analysis" because I dread having to dig them up and move them (like M. Tillier) once they have settled into a home and established a good root system. I fret I will kill them. I have Grandmother's Hat and her sport Larry Daniels ready to plant in their new locations I've chosen for them. Also, Le Vesuve, Mrs. B.R. Cant, Madame Antoine Mari and Madame Lambard (aka. Lombard) are ready to go into the ground this fall.

Other forums? I'll be asking the same question on three different hosta forums... possible a fourth... and GW does not like any direct mentions of other forum names. I know some of the folks here also post on some other forums... I only want one vote from each person on each category. In the past I've done one thread for each category... Green, medium, for example. But we were using it to while away the winter months when we couldn't play in the garden. I believe this time I'll combine things. So, for example, we'll start with Green... one thread to vote for your one (or two at the most) favorite green hosta in each of the size categories, which will be defined at the start of the thread. There are three levels on the Benedict Award... Honorable Mention, Awards of Merit, and then the ultimate... one hosta is selected each year for the Benedict Medal. These are those selected as the best of the best - like the Academy Award for Best Picture. (and like the Academy Award, lots of people disagree as there are often several excellent choices in the running. I predicted First Frost would edge out Earth Angel for the medal this year... and Niagara Falls (my #3 in guessing what people would vote for, but I think I would have chosen it #1 or 2 if I'd gotten my ballot in in time...) won the medal. So... the Benedict Medal winners so far are 2006 (First Honorable Mention list developed) 2007 (Second HM list) 2008 (Third HM list and first Award of Merit list) 2009 First Benedict medal awarded - June 2010 Second Medal awarded - Sagae 2011 Third Medal - Blue Mouse Ears 2012 Medal went to Niagara Falls So far, I can't fault any of the choices. I believe each of those represents the very best of their "type." And the balloting indicates that they grow well everywhere. Every year the ballot gets longer. I think there were 14 on last summer's ballot. This year I had to choose one from, I think 24. And it ain't easy - there are several I really love... BTW - any AHS member can ask to be a judge. They do seek a geographical distribution, but I haven't known anyone to get turned down yet...

I just bought a new one a month ago. I was almost crazy looking at different ones and going over measurements and prices. I looked at the KA and also at the Whirlpool and GE thinking I would get the Whirlpool. Lowes would have to order it so I happened to check this place closer to me, an independent guy that was a Maytag dealer and since they are now Whirlpool he could get me one but he also sold Frigidaire. He had one in stock--just what I needed and it was $400 less than Lowes(for the same model) plus free delivery and haul away of theold one. This ref. makes more ice than any I have ever had.(also has setting for extra ice if needed). It has an air filter inside to keep out odors, sliding, spillproof shelves, also an elevator shelf rolls up/down plus adjustables in the door. Has a meat drawer that you can even set to keep the meat at 32 if need be-this is in the ref. side. The freezer has door shelves and tilt out racks plus baskets in the freezer plus it holds frozen pizza's(Digorno size). This guy also services so I figured I could get him quick if need be--hope not needed! I talked to a couple of servicers before and they said they are all about the same now days. I did go through several on line repair forums reading about fridges and there wasn't that many bad things about Frigidaire. Did read that a few years ago they had some problems but got those worked out now so I hope so. I would think a KA would be good also. Check the repair forums and see if you see many people write in about KA. Hope this helps and good luck shopping. For the money I couldn't have gotten more features than I did with the Frigidaire.

what is the thickness of your panel on each side of your fridge?
Q
Comments (7)
I just went and looked again to be sure. I don't think it looks funny at all. The panel is flush with the doors of the cabinet above. Those just transition to the doors for the pantry. And then there is a small filler strip between the pantry and the wall. Its a little bigger than 3/4", but if there was any need for balance, it gives it. This is all with simple shaker frameless cabinets. I presume what looks good may vary with the kind of box and doors, and the style.

My hair part is on the right, I have two colics in hair...one in front and one in back.

My best photo shot is on the left.

My left eye is my worst one for sight.

I am right-handed. My left wrist is weaker.

My left breast is bigger.

My right bunion is the worst!

Now...ya know all there is to know about me and I am a mess, aren't I?

LOL!

I forgot to mention my left knee is bad and I meant my LEFT bunion is the worst...

summed up:

My part, colics are on the right and I am right-handed....everything else that's left is left!

nola anne, I just have to say this:

You've told us eveything Right/Left except your politics. Please don't or you will be sent to Hot Topics!

Colic is what babies get. Cow licks is what your hair gets.

Just kidding.

My natural part is at the back of my head, and it's called a cowlick. Thanks for asking.

I part my hair on the right at the moment--but I don't really believe in a 'natural part'. It's more how we train our hair to grow. Certainly, if I comb my hair straight back, it will fall into a part on the right--now. Every now and then, I switch sides. At first, the hair objects, but after a week or so, adapts to being parted on the other side and doesn't want to switch back and it will just as easily fall into a left side part then.

nola anne , you are a mess, now I won't try to visualize this picture you have painted of yourself. Thanks for the chuckle. I needed that today.

Mine is right smack in the middle, but I force it to part just left of center.

Slight left of center. I don't know anymore if that's natural or if I've "trained" it over the years.

Natural center part, here and have been trying to avoid it for years! I usually wear(or try to wear)my hair combed straight back, when the hair spray looses it's umphhh my hair parts it's self in the center.

Azella-I have to contradict your statememt," I don't really believe in a 'natural part'. It's more how we train our hair to grow." If that is true then why do children have a "natural" part in their hair as soon as they get hair? All of my boys and grandsons have natural parts off center on the left side but almost in the middle.DH's hair parts in the same place.Their hair will not part any other way and believe me,I have tried to "train" it to part somewhere else.Even the twins have (and have had since they barely had hair)the same natural part. They all have one place where their hair parts and nothing can change it.It has everything to do with the growth pattern of the hair.I have a cowlick" and so does DH in the front.I have one in the back on the right side.My kids all have cowlicks in the front and back,a very distinctive trait in this family. They all hate it,especially the girls. So I believe the location of the part has nothing to do with "training" the hair but everything to do with the growth pattern and yes, those pesky "cowlicks".How I wish Grandma had kept that cow out of the house! LOL
By the way,my part is on the left slightly off center and I can never get it to go any other way!

Left, always has been and always will be as far as i can tell.Even after all my hair fell out during chemo, when it came back in,it still had the left side part.

My natural part is on the left.
When it is combed toward the right it lays flat. I can comb it toward the left and it goes up and over that way because it is not the natural growth pattern.

Both sides of my head are natural.
My hair, however, wants to part on the right.
