Prayers needed

My DH and I have an out-of-the-country vacation planned, and we're flying out in the morning. My mom is 89, has alzheimers and recently caught the flu. She is over the flu but seems to have given up and doesn't want to eat, drink or take meds.

I know this may sound selfish (please be kind), but I'm asking you to lift her up in prayer asking God to spare her life for a few more weeks. (her name is Theresa).

Thank you so much for your prayers. I am not sure if Mike will be in rehab or not. I want so much to be there for him,but Jim will probably be starting radiation next week.We saw the Radiologist this afternoon and she says that it is good that Jim is not having pain in his hip.A lot of people wait until they are in pain and by that time the tumor is eating into the bone and he could have a broken hip or leg.Luckily they have been monitoring him all this time,so she thinks that things will go well. Mike doesn't have a tumor,it is several discs and a lot of nerve damage.Again, thank you for your prayers.They mean a lot to me.

He should be put under your insurance, thats the new law they kids can be covered until age 26. It's a wonderful safety net in this economy when jobs are so hard to find. Prayers being said.

Prayers on the way, and you might tell her you will be bringing back something you know she might like--even a pictue of something that meant anything special in her younger life..Just say you are going on a quick trip, be right back, and I will bring you???? even candy if she likes something special that brings back a memory from earlier in her life. Just a thought.

you're not selfish at all....caregivers and children of this aweful diease, need a break...it's nice to reflect on what was and not what is....prayers for a safe journey and holding a hand out to your mom to be safe while you're gone....

I just lost someone.

Sally loved life and held on to it with relish and determination long past the time that her hospice nurse had thought possible;
when Sally stopped eating & taking her meds, she was gone within hours.

If your dear mother leaves you very soon, take comfort that she stayed with you as long as she could, & if she stays on this earth until you return from your trip, know that you didn't keep her through any selfish force of will, it just wasn't time for her to go.

I'm holding you and your dear mother in my thoughts and in my heart.
