Well....if I get the house I want...

1. I want to enlarge the kitchen by taking down a wall between it and a room right behind it.

2. I want to enlarge the bathroom...altho it is adequately big now...I want a huge bathroom...by taking part of the middle bedroom. The other part of the bedroom, I want to use for a stairs to the huge attic and make a room up there and the rest of the space left from the middle bedroom, would be a computer/library area.

3. Build a front porch and a back porch...the back porch to be mostly windows and made into a sun room.

So funny, I logged in eariler than usual this morning to view some of the photos on the kitchens and bathrooms forums. I want to;

1-paint and tile the two bathrooms
2-paint the kitchen
3-put in new carpet throughout the house

all of mine are remodels...although updated painting throughout the house would be nice as well.

1 - the downstairs bathroom

2 - the upstairs bathroom

3 - the basement

The master bedroom and bathroom have not been painted since we moved in here. So those are top of the list.

Also, the laundry room in drab, needs a color lift.

DD's room was painted bright pink, which is what she loved a couple years ago. Now she doesn't and wants it blue. But I am not painting her room twice before my room gets painted even once! So she's gonna live with it.

Nothing in our house needs remodeling because we went through an extensive renovation over the past 10 years. And I paint evey room every 3-4 years, so nothing really needs painting....but the livingroom can use a freshening up. We have a wood-burning fireplace insert and I'm planning on refreshing our current livingroom wall color. Oh, wait! That means I have to paint the vaulted ceiling, too. Drat.

1. Master bathroom. I've already replaced the medicine cabinet and the walls are primed. Unfortunately unforseen expenses have been cropping up lately - 2 car inspections (1 needed 4 new tires), heater needs a $225 part, etc.

2,3. Actually that's all that hasn't been painted recently.

The next three on the list...

1. Living Room...New front window, light fixtures, trim, strip and re-finish the floor, new security storm door, built-ins, furniture. OMG. Headaches just thinking about it.

2. Sunporch...10 windows, storm and exterior doors, beadboard ceiling, paint, flooring, corn stove. This is Wes' baby; he's doing all the planing here.

3. Kitchen...gut and build. It's last on the list because I want all the experience we can get before we tackle this nightmare.
