My lawn looks awful and looked beautiful before I Aerated :(

Leah, eventually it does recover. Lisa is/was a special case of someone who will do anything and everything to cure any minor flaw in her garden. She used to post these pictures that anyone would be extremely proud of and point out some detail not to her liking. Well, two of her pictures are in this thread. Anyway, you do not need to do core aeration. The lawn gurus on other forums have come up with a better way to do whatever you thought core aeration would cure. If you would start a new topic on Houzz and tell us what your lawn issues are, we can take off from there. Posting to Lisa's topic will not get you the attention you deserve. Be sure to tell us where you live when you post, as Lisa did with her initial post.

Hmmm. Jane, I bet you mine are knock-offs. They are thick and don't all sit well (by that, I mean, stack nicely) when stacked one on top of the other. I did a search using the Royal Norfolk name and apparently they come in the green you saw and pink too. For the dinner plate, I like our color best though. It's really not yellow, but more of a basket color, don't you think? I plan to add pastels to the table through the use of salad plates, fruit bowls, napkins, etc. I'm thrilled I found them.

looking at possibly buying a 1972 house. what to look for?

Its finally over. We closed the deal! Getting through the financing was pretty stressful once covid19 broke out but we got through it. So, the underground room. I cut the door open last night to take a look. It's about an 8x8 room, maybe 7 foot high, all the walls are cinder block. Here's the weird part, the whole floor is covered in ash and burnt pieces of wood, and a few bricks. Theres a few holes dug down in the ash like little fire pits. I can't figure out what it is. The house has a fireplace, but on the opposite end of the house. Any idea at all why I have an underground room with a bunch of ash and burnt wood in it? The floor of this room is at least 12 foot below ground. Any ideas?

Looking for a good looking year round bush/shrub in N E

It’s hard to tell distance - a shrub would need to be a good distance from the dryer vent. It looks to me like the existing border of the bed is maybe 3-4’ from the house? If I was going to put a shrub there, I’d plant it right where that 4x4 is sunk in the ground, if measured from it to the inner corner is about 5’. If you don’t get it far enough from the house, it will suffer from the vent in the winter. Plus it needs to be away from the house for reasons of sun, rain, and air circulation.

You must be so pleased--I kept thinking how annoying it must have been for you to remember to hit 0 instead of o. Enjoy!

Chloecat, the "O' on my keyboard quit working, so I had to use the "0". S0 my p0sts l00ked like this!

Shirley, and what a relief it is!

Chemcurl, I bought a new one. We have a small computer repair shop up the road and they sell Dell products. Got a brand new one for $15 dollars, well, $15.90 with tax.

Jasdip, I had 123 e-mails! I was able to delete a lot of them from stores where I've shopped and recipe posts.

Azzalea, yes it was annoying. And I'm sure it was to anyone trying to read them, too!
