Dark chocolate cream cheese?

Have you seen this in your grocery stores? I haven't, but I clipped a coupon for it from yesterday's paper. It's Kraft Philadelphia brand and comes in light chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate. I think a little dark chocolate would be really good with strawberries. And think of all the cheesecake recipes that'll be hitting the interenet soon!

Haven't seen it, but if you don't find it, it's easy enough to add your own chocolate to cream cheese, if you want. Either a little melted dark chocolate or some cocoa powder will do the trick.

I've seen it at WalMart, here in northern Indiana.

Thanks all y'all! Does this site still have some kinks in it? I know for sure I responded last night.....strange. It could have been me too. Just bought a new laptop and haven't had much time to play with it and add ad blocker yet. Several post I've opened the text run into the ads on the right. What a pia. Maggie,I had never heard of smoked bologna until we moved south. Thinking it's a Oklahoma/Texas thing as most bbq joints serve it down here. Thanks Annie! Between the dinner/buffet, his favorite band playing for free and donations they raised a good sum of money for his wife and kids. Ci lantro, those Brach's Stars have been hard to find forever it seems. I was glad to find the dark ones but I guess they are becoming a thing of the past. Popcorn in the soup, oh yeah, I/we have done that more than once. Allye is a hoot and she will talk your ear off for sure. Thankfully she is potty trained now too. Not a fan of changing "muddy diapers" here...although I've done it many times over the years even though I don't have kids. LOL! Good to be back friends! David

Those look luscious, Ann. I've often made rocky road brownies - the ones covered with the mini-marshmallow, chocolate chip frosting - but last time I made them, I realized they're not really all that chocolately and the icing goop is almost too sweet for me anymore. I think I'll transition over to these. I pinned them on Pinterest, too. Thank you! Just went to the brownie post, clicked the pin-it button and it worked. I have sometimes noticed that people pin pictures, or something else, with no link - not sure how that happens. There are some amazing fall goodies popping up on Pinterest right now!

My preference is DARK. DH's is Butterfingers! I know that because when we were in Belgium I was excited about these small chocolate outlets are a popular draw for tourists. In Belgium much like wineries, tours of Belgian chocolate shops include tastings and exclusive souvenirs. Anyway, I was overwhelmed trying to make decisions and assumed by the puzzled look on his face that DH was too. I finally made some selections, he didn't. He finally said "they don't have Butterfingers". I was emnbarrased and told him to keep his voice down--crazy American!

chi, I make them for Amanda every year and I don't add brandy at all. I sometimes use my home canned brandied cherries and sometimes I just use maraschino cherries with no alcohol. It still comes out fine and is Amanda's favorite holiday treat. If I had to choose, I'd go with the Irish Cream or the southern Comfort, although I think Amaretto would be good if you have some. The almond and cherry mixture is something I like. Oh, and I don't always have butterscotch chips so sometimes I do them all chocolate. Still good! Annie

A lady was handing out chocolate flavored cream cheese with strawberries in them at our Wal-Mart the other day. It was really good but hard to scoop up with a strawberry. I wanted to ask for a spoon so I could get all the chocolate stuff but didn't. I have a coupon too, just didn't buy any yet.

Thanks Sue. We get two newspapers so I have two coupons :-) If our store has it, I'll get a dark chocolate and white chocolate.

Kath, I've had a recipe for years for a dip using a jar of marshmallow cream and an 8 oz. cream cheese mixed together. I'll try using the dark chocolate in place of the regular.

has anyone ever made sour cream and semisweet chips (melted) chocolate frosting? for those who really like dark chocolate at it's best....

I saw the coupon but didn't cut it out. I never tried it, but it didn't seem to be something I'd want.

I use the chocolate cream cheese as well the cheesecake flavor cream cheese to fill whole strawberries. I use a piping bag for a nice decorative touch. I also use marscapone. The berries are always the first thing to go at my dessert table.

It's called Indulge. I bought some earlier today - the white chocolate. Divine!
