I did it.....cheese and chocolate.

Alexa posted about this last week and I just had to give it a try. I'm mean after chocolate covered bacon how could this be so bad. LOL

Not too bad IMHO. I'd drizzle the chocolate next time to make sure every bite had chocolate with it. The part without it tasted like plain parmesan crisps..duh! I tried one with some ice cream and in a wierd/strange way it was pretty good too. The nutty flavor of the parm along with the almonds and chocolate worked for me. You had the sweet and salty thing going on and at the end the a slight tang from the parm. Might be good with wine???

Mine seem to spread out more compared to the pic with the recipe. Those looked more like a shortbread cookie.

I ended up baking mine on a silpat.....when I went to get parchment I only had about two inches left on the roll and no back up supply. Not sure if that would be a factor or not. I did have to drain them on paper towels to absorb some of the oil/grease

I forgot to take them into the office today but will tomorrow and let you know what they think. I can see making them for a cocktail party...something different that some will like and others may not.

Thanks for sharing Alexa!
