Pat's here ( grandson) and I scrambled eggs with cheese and 2 slices of toast before I even had my eyes open.
Just home made Malt-o-Meal bread toasted with peach preserves for me.....and coffee!

sunday breakfast is and always has been a big, delicious meal.

i ate two slices of canadian bacon, a few silver-dollar sized pancakes with home-made jam, fried sweet potatoes and a nice thick slice of home-grown tomato seasoned just rightd quick fried on both sides and half of a sauteed italian pepper; juice and hot tea.

So far two tester bites of Baked Beans before they went in the oven. One for each pan. LOL
Not sure what I'll have...maybe just a bowl of instant oatmeal...
I'll make hubby sausage patties, scrambled eggs with cheese and maybe pull a blueberry waffle or two out of the freezer.

I had a bowl of Plum-Raspberry Buckle left over from last night's dessert! YUM!!!!!!!!!!

Normally, we like Sunday breakfast to be a treat--then we skip lunch.

But this week, we just had English muffins. You see, DD is in her new--FIRST--house, and has invited us for lunch. Now, I'm not exactly sure what she'll be serving--she's not much of a cook, and doen't know how to work the new range--so it will be an adventure all the way around, I think. Can't wait!

We had Cindy5NY's home made cinnamon rolls - homemade by Miss Cyn herself! Doesn't get any better than that!

Sam, my oldest DS, made me yogurt with grape nuts and raisins. And he also brewed a mean pot of coffee too! Mind you, this was a special birthday breakfast, so tomorrow it's back to good old mom preparing breakfast for everyone. Which is how it should be, I guess:-)

Everybody was up for the weekend.

First we had a fruit cup, with Cantalope, Bananas and
Grapes

Then we had my famous Waffles, crisp and tender.
Smothered with butter and Maple Syrup.

Plus my "Sin Buns" Grilled with butter, in an Iron Skillet.

I made a Caprese omelet for DB and me. Basically, just a plain omelet cooked with olive oil until almost done, and then I layered thinly sliced vine ripened tomato (from my yard) sprinkled with a chiffonade of basil and black pepper plus buffalo mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano. I served it with whole grain garlic toast. My sister and BIL had granola with blueberries and yogurt before I got up, but DS ate some of the leftover omelet. Yesterday I made migas for everyone, served with guacamole.

A bowl of cheerios with skim milk and a cup of hot tea. I quit doing big breakfasts when I became determined to slim down. (I am now 40# lighter since February)
But, applewood smoked bacon and walnut stuffed french toast with apricot/orange "syrup" is what sounds good to me.

Yesterday, it was rye toast with my first batch of rye bread - something to eat quickly so I could get pickled peaches into the jars before the day got too hot. But today there is peach pie.

Breakfast? What's that? :-)

This morning as every weekday morning was some oatmeal and a teaspoon of homemade cherry jam! I used to dislike oatmeal a lot but now I actually look forward to it every morning! and a cup of Dunkin's!
