I prefer 1B (perhaps hung a little higher) and 3A, however it depends on your individual taste. ;)

Take this with a grain of salt as I tend to like large lighting fixtures but I think all of these might be too small for your mirror. Perhaps the scale is off when you photoshopped these in?

That said - I think I like the last option best but they could all be lovely.

They just don't look right to me. I think it's the style, size and placement. Are they at least 66" from the floor? Are they going to be used for task lighting because they don't look like they will give off much light. Can we get a photo of the entire bath? I'm trying to get a feel for the style of the bath and not just the mirror.

I like 2B or 3A.

I agree the scale of these fixtures seems off. Gaw1, have you considered downlights instead of uplights? Something like this, for example:

This could solve the problem of the junction box being mounted so high.

If those are true to size, they are all too small for the height of the mirror imo. You have a variety of styles there as well - what style are you trying to establish in the space? When you put in the vanity, will you have a backsplash of some kind?

I'll be honest, I think the mirror is too tall for proportion of the sink and lights. I would find a shorter mirror and not worry about the ceiling height. Or, bring down the installation height of the side fixtures, and add a chandelier to hang down and connect the mirror and the ceiling height.

The fixtures are paper cut outs that have been enlarged to scale and then taped to the wall. So aside from looking "flat and paper dull" they are the size the light fixtures would be if purchased. They range from 18" to 29" high. The jbox is 71.5" on center from the floor, which makes the actual light much higher when most of these mounted. I'm resigned that these will need to be moved. Maybe I should try taping the fixtures lower?

The cabinet that will replace the sink, will be a 48" wood, furniture like vanity with a stone top without a backsplash.

I've included a picture of the living room, and the kitchen and new kitchen table which may give you a feel for my style. Don't let the "craftsman lights" over the kitchen island sway you. I just liked them but don't find myself going to anything else craftsman.

Gaw1, your home is scrumptious! You obviously have very good taste. You're right -- all of the sconces you picked out look too puny next to the mirror.

I'd also like to see something that matches the finish on the mirror. On my monitor the mirror looks a bit copper colored -- is that right? You might want to paint or put rub n buff on something to make it match if the finish is tricky. I think matching the color will help you add some weight to the sconces.

I'm seeing stuff on eBay that would be perfect but it's pricey as can be. I'm trying to find something that isn't so much...

I agree with the others who said the scale is off. Maybe something darker (see link below). I love sconces and am shopping for them for my new home--if we ever get past the floor plan phase. The one below is on sale for $55.00

The bath is a powder room so lighting is really for ambiance only. The mirror is a copper finish. Fixtures 1A and 1B come in a finish that exactly matches the mirror. I'm pretty sure that 2A and 3A would have a finish to match.

Oceanna you gave me a good idea about considering a wider, perhaps 2 light option. I've been keeping in a 5-7" width constraint due to the jbox. But since I'm going to have to move the jbox anyway, maybe I would have room for a wider light...time to check the construction picture for studs.

With such a tall window should I still stick with a longer sconce (24" +)?
