I got The Spitfire Cafe from netflix the other day and I have to say it was a wonderful movie. I loved Julie and Julia too. Spitfire Cafe kept my attention the entire time and was very, very good.

Saw Avatar. I went reluctantly but ended up loving it. I got so caught up in it that I forgot so much of it was animated!

"Post Grad" was cute and good. "Moon" was really good. I loved "Avatar" as well and I didn't really want to go see it. "500 Days of Summer" was good and "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs" was cute (we don't have kids).

I loved "Julie & Julia". It wasn't long into it, when
I forgot I was watching Streep - and just Julia for real.

She did an amazing job, I think.

Going to see When in Rome on Thursday. Loved Julie and Julia, It's Complicated and Blind Side.

UP - absolutely a must see. I was so amazed at how often I cried. And it's Pixar!

When in Rome, was good. Pretty funny (at least to me) nothing earth shattering, so if you want some fun, some laughs, and some movie romance, it was good.

Avatar was okay. def. NOT my fave.
someone here said Up in the Air was a downer, so I'm NOT going to go see that. My tastes in movies these days runs to fun, laughter and romance. I don't want to see downer, and ugly stuff. All I have to do is pick up the paper for that.

I watched a Netflix movie last night...."Simon Burch", and really liked it.

Saw Avatar, my first 3D movie. Amazing. I had to shut my eyes a couple of times because of the "heights".

I watched Ground Hog Day last night (one of my $3 DVD's 20% disc not included)

Blind Side was great and It's Complicated was hilarious.

Enjoyed Up In The Air

Total waste of time and money was Old Dogs. Also a waste of a couple of talented actors. I have no idea why they agreed to do it.

Saw some Mr. Moto movies and enjoyed them. In Enemy Hands was also quite good although it had many of the same storylines of all submarine movies. Nevertheless it kept my interest. Saw a couple others lately too but can't recall the titles. Also some duds. Couldn't finish watching Death Ship. Not into horror movies and it was just a little too predictable.

I saw & liked Inglorious Basterds but was surprised anyone else in this forum did, if DW is any indication.

I saw Extraordinary Measures last week. I want to see Blind Side and Valentine's Day.

I've seen Julie and Juia, It's Complicated and Up in the Air. Up in the Air was my favorite although I enjoyed all three.

Loved It's Complicated. Took grandaughter to see Tooth Fairy. It was cute..

Liz, we watched Julie and Julia a month ago on tv. There were no "extras" and we both wondered how they made Meryl Streep so tall Can you share how they did it?

Taking Chance....This was an HBO movie. Don't know if it's out on DVD. Kevin Bacon won the Golden Globe for this movie. It was beautiful and I highly recommend it.

Watched most of the ones stated earlier...
LOVED Autumn Rush... watched it a couple of times.

LOVED Amelia.... was really really good. Don't know how they painted on all her freckles! tee hee.

LOVED Avitar. Want to see it again and then buy it when it comes out.
He is just not that into you was kinda funny.
Journey to the center of the earth was kinda good too. Will watch it again.

Old ones.... Abyss. Very very good. Not scary at all.
Kinda liked Twilight. Will watch it again to see if I can get it better.
Multiplicity.... LOVE that....

And Big. Love just about anything with Tom Hanks in it.

So many good movies.

Meryl's shoes had really high lifts on them. I love how she was able to play Julia's part sooo well.

There are some great suggestions here!! Thanks ya'll....I might have to pull DH outta his cocoon and go see Avatar...We both don't like going to the movie theatre much but we do love our premium movie channels and Netflix!!

Jas...they had these really high lifts on her feet and they were wrapped around her ankles so they wouldn't fall off is the best way for me to describe it...it's amazing the things they can do but we never see it on the screen!!

Jas - they also made her look taller by the clothes she wore and the way the scene was staged. Where people were standing had a lot to do with it. I read a very interesting article about this - wish I could remember more or at least the link to it.

Avatar was awesome. My whole family loved it.

Just saw Edge of Darkness with Mel Gibson and it was better than I expected.

Loved Inglorious Basterds.

Blind Side is another great must see movie.

The three-disc HBO series, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, and a Nature production for bird lovers called, Pale Male, about a Red-Tailed Hawk that lives atop a ritzy 5th Avenue apartment building.

Lauren and I saw "When in Rome" the other day. Would've been better without the idiots and their glowing cell phones. Maybe I'll rewatch it when it comes out on DVD.

Watched an older movie last night, "Saints and Soldiers" about WWII, based a real event. It was made a few years ago.

Going to watch "The Spiderwich Chronicles" tonight.
