Help - menu problem

Hi: I haven't posted here for awhile but I have a big party coming up soon that I would appreciate some ideas for the menu. We are planning a dinner party for 20 for some neighbours which are also very good friends. Its for their 25th wedding anniversary so we wanted to make it special. My husband is really pushing for a black and white party. I think that sounds great, but I don't know what to do.

I originally thought I would do prime rib and yorkies, but I just did that for 8 this week and remembered how much much work/timing is involved, plus the cost seems like a lot. i.e.$58.00 for probably enough for 10 or 12. And that's just the meat. Plus we had to do it on the spit which I had a tough time getting right. It was a little over done for my taste, not too bad but hard to tell. We took it off at 120 and let it rest and it was barely pink when we served it.

Another consideration is that 2 people are severely allergic to seafood.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Appies, all dinner dishes. I think desert is covered, we will buy a tuxedo cake.
