Our intention was to get the questions answered for those who posted yesterday & today...so they don't roll off in a matter of hours. Since we don't know what's going on, we thought this might be a temporary solution until we heard more. If it becomes a long drawn out process, then, yes, we need to move on. However, posting about a finished kitchen or just to mention a new product isn't critical right now...we want to be able to respond to those who are in the middle of problems. If the threads come and go too quickly, then we can't help. I did notice, though, that we're up to Page 5. Whether that means we're rebuilding the pages, I don't know. But it's not just a matter of missing pages, I think it's a matter of missing threads that just happened to reduce the # of pages down to 4 (and now 5). Several of us have noticed that threads that should be in the first 4 pages are missing and there are gaps of hours b/w posts...which we all know is extremely rare on this forum. So, no, this is not a long-term solution, it's a very temporary stop-gap measure to help those who need it most right now. I'd say if we don't hear more positive info by this time tomorrow or know for sure that nothing further is being lost, then we should resume "business as usual".

A new computer, we all should have one. Glad you have it fixed Grandms. Seams a bit drastic to me, but I can't say I've never done something like this either, because I have! I'm working on a Friends Computer right now. I've Reset this computer back to Factory Specs with Windows 8. I've been installing Windows Updates seems like forever! I still don't have Windows 8.1 installed yet, then there are more Updates! Not really sure of the Speed of this computer, think I saw 1.4GHz somewhere, but it seems really slow (it's an Toshiba Laptops with an AMD Processor). Could be Single Core, Dual-Core, Quad Core, who knows, guess I could look! Just looked, it's an AMD E1-1200 Dual-Core @ 1.4GHz. My Laptop I'm on right now is an Intel Core i5 Quad Core @ 1.6GHz with up to 2.6GHz Turbo Boost. My Laptop wipes the floor with this AMD!

Without taking a moisture reading it's hard to determine the cause. Cupping is caused when the top of the board is drier than the bottom. With this cupping I assume it's solid wood. Was new plywood installed? Is there a vapor/moisture retarder? How wide are the planks? Was the floor allowed to acclimate before or after installation? If so, how long? Was other work done at the same time? Painting? Tile work? Was the area climate controlled for the duration of the work? Have the indoor humidity and/or temperature changed significantly since the completion of the work? Did you get a new HVAC or new windows/doors? What is the current range of relative humidity inside the unit? Does your unit have a humidistat? When something like this happens, if an exact cause cannot be pinpointed, it's not a bad idea to let the floor go through a full season to see if it will rectify itself. I generally recommend waiting a year so the floor goes through all of the possible seasonal changes. I would still recommend that you personally engage an NWFA certified inspector to try to determine the cause.

Hi again, Glad you got your pix up; your plant looks OK to me. I think slight color differences btwn leaves is normal & no big deal. May also be a reaction to change of conditions. I glanced over your block of text again, don't see actual questions. Multiflora is thinner leafed than many Hoyas & yes, thirstier than most Hoyas. I believe these benefit from pebble trays to help w/ ambient humidity. These must never be allowed to dry out completely, I've lost them that way. They're a pretty bloom which I don't recall being fragrant. I can't really see the peduncle, it looks like your photo of it is head on. Yes, hard to photograph, I've had the same problem, best to show it in profile. I'd put it on a pebble tray. Do this by adding a handful of pebbles into your OUTER ceramic pot. Then, when you water, water it 'til it spills out the bottom. Take it out & look so you can get an idea of how much water it takes to overflow some into the outer pot. Then wait a few minutes & dump out the excess. The pebble tray works by allowing the plant to absorb some additional moisture into its soil & roots as needed.
