I think the duck would look great, but it might be more effective with a mate--another print in the same frame. But I like symmetry.

The armoire is so large compared to the chair and the table that the scale is thrown off, making it hard to balance that wall, I think. And both the chairs flanking it are nice, but you can't sit in them and look at the TV, or carry on a conversation. Have you ever thought of moving them? Of course, you didn't ask any of this!

Is there a reason that the couch appears to be angled away from the wall?

I would fix that, then switch out the end table by the couch with the end table by the spider-back chair. The one by the couch feels too high for the couch and wing chair arms, and the one by the spider chair seems too low and long for the arms on the spider chair.

Once things are adjusted, I think you could have a pair of pix there, side by side. I think an iron piece there would be too busy.

Hey Ideefixe! Oh I agree the room is still off balance. I don't mind the suggestions. I've tried just about everything as far as arranging this room. The arrangement before this one had the wing and web back chair flipped but with suggestions on here it was moved to the way it is now.

I think busy object art, like iron, might be too much. Why don't you stick the duck up there for now and just keep your eyes open when out and about at HomeGoods or wherever.

2 questions for you: I love your armoire. Is it a corner unit, or do you just have it angled that way? And what's your wall color?

The round table is 26.5" at the top crest and the couch arm is 25".

The shorter rectanular table is 20.5" tall. The wingchair is 26.5" and the web chair is 23" high.

Groovia - Thanks! The wall color is BM Shelburne Buff and the entertainment stand is actually a wall unit. The "book case" you see on the back wall is actually the side pieces put together. That's why I have to have something (greenery) on top.

Shee, try swapping out the two tables, putting the taller round table by the spider chair, and the lower table over by the wing back. Leave the lamps for each where they are. Try this positioning before you hang the duck picture, because the lamp with the black shade will be lower, more in line with the height of the lamp on the round table. Having the shades at a more equal height will help balance the room better, and because the black shaded lamp will be at a lower height, it may affect where you want to hang the duck.

Your wall color is pretty. I just painted my walls that color but it looked so much darker. I wish it would have come out like yours!

I'll bag the iron idea for the wall. I didn't think about it being too busy.

The duck print isn't very big so should I buy another larger print for below and stack them in the middle of the wall?

Nanny - I switched the tables. What do you think? I think that helps with the black lamp. The gold lamp is only about a year old so I didn't really want to buy another but it's too tall isn't it? The recetangle table was my Mom's so I want to keep that one. I'm not permanently attached to the round one.

Trying - Thank you. I took most of these during the day and the room gets a ton of light. At night, it looks much darker.

And I love the duck print and think it would look good there where you had put the newspaper. Fills in that space nicely, I think.

Could you put some iron work on the blank wall by the half table?

Holley - Ha, which way is the original way? The way it was when this thread started or the photo where the web chair is on the main wall and the wing is on the side?

That area near the side table is another spot I'm not sure what to do with. Every time I try and put something there it seems kind of cluttered. Yet, alone it think it's missing something.

Maryelizabeth - I actually have three 3' casement shelves that don't have a wall spot. I could paint black. They're 5" deep.
