Help w/ BM or SW Soft Olive Green/Pic
Comments (5)My favorite is BM Baby Turtle. Very browned green color that I think looks great w/ blues and shows off of natural wood tones very, very well. I have to admit that I was totally fooled once my LR was fully painted & I thought I'd made mistake #157 but once I added my olive green curtains I could see that it was perfect. I use a lot of robins egg blue & dusty purple for pops of color & it looks really nice....See MoreSoft Olive Green paint color
Comments (0)After a lot of painting, some by professionals and some by us, we are down to the last room in our new to us house- repainting the master bedroom. Does anyone have a suggestion for a soft olive green? I am considering BM October Mist or Paris Rain but am open to suggestions. The room is south facing and gets lots of light. Carpet is a soft sand color (pale) and trim is BM White Dove. Thank you!...See Moreyellow creamy paint color with green sofa?
Comments (2)Creamy yellow sounds like a good choice. I'm not familiar with the colors you listed, but I'm sure any would be fine. A popular SW yellow/cream is Ivoire. There are some lovely rooms painted Ivoire in the "Favorite Yellows and Golds" Gallery: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/decor/gal111825059508.html?125 As for a study, a suggestion I have would be SW Latte for the walls and SW Divine White for the bookshelves. I think that would be very rich looking and neutral enough that it would go with everything. Latte looks really nice with burgundy and olive green. Silver Sage is lovely for the bedroom, but may I suggest at least an ivory/cream color for the bathroom rather than white. I have a small master bath and painted it a light silvery blue. To me, that doesn't make the room look smaller. My guest bath is SW Divine White. I combined it with light and dark turquoise towels and shower curtain....See MoreDried Basil? Spanish Olive? Comments (18)hi nutmegxo - I was wondering what you ended up picking. I had a post about bm boardwalk that you responded to recently and I am still searching! I had a whole wall painted to see if that helped me decide. I do like the color in my room, somehow it's warm but not too orangey. But now my concern is that it may be too close in color to my furniture(caramel and brown). I don't know if curtains , a rug and pictures will add enough of other colors. Someone suggested that I consider some blues but I like greens better. I did like cheyenne green and just picked up a sample. I saw pictures of bm baby turtle on this site that looked great but I did not like it in my room. It was too dark and looked very different in my house. I find selecting paint colors to be soooo difficult!...See MoreUser
