I have gone back to Riley sheets, one that I liked in the beginning. I kept trying different brands, searching for that Holy Grail. I found a vintage Wamsutta on ebay, and they are so scratchy. I've now washed them literally 20+ times to get them to soften up, and I still don't like them. Does anyone want a fitted queen Wamsutta and two standard pillowcases? 50/50 queen size. Also, tried Vermont Country Store resin free, and they are ok. I'm not in love with them, but they've only been washed once. I don't know about their longevity. Based on another reviewer, I ordered Cologne and Cotton from the UK. ohmigod, these are the worst sheets I've ever tried to sleep on. They are basically sandpaper. I don't know how to soften them up, I'm afraid it's just wasted money. I am spoiled by Brooklinen arriving already smooth, not scratchy, but maintaining coolness and crispness. I just want them slightly heavier, and not wear out so quickly. I'm hoping to get that with Riley, plus Riley has better color choices.

I agree with beverly. Many of us are trying, but this forum is a shadow of its old self. The old posts cropping up make it more time consuming to scroll through and filter through the old and new. One of the reasons the old site worked so well is that you could check it instantly without investing a lot of time and effort; besides, it was always fun to see the new posts; and just about anything that was newly listed was, in fact, really new. I think the bigger issue is the change in how photos are now in the control of houzz once they are posted. Really a shame, as the photos are what make the forum lively and fresh. Understandably, many now are reluctant to share a glimpse into their own homes if they don't know what will happen to the image eventually. I hope the new site will listen.....the forum will only be as good as the members who contribute.

Most of if not all of Targets Threshold percale sheets are sourced from China or India. There's a reason for that plasticy, chemical weirdness...the sheets as all imported sheets are heavily treated..pesticides, insecticides, all sorts of treatments. If you ever buy a set of sheets from another country they will be treated. It requires a number of hot washes to remove these chemicals...I've heard 10 washings isn't an unreasonable number and to think I know people that use new sheets out of the package never washed. However in my opinion Targets sheets are worth the dirt cheap price. They are the better of the low cost sheets in the US...IMO.. Targets percale's are still 100% cotton??? That's why they wrinkle...cotton will always wrinkle..nature of them

Yes, you need a pair of Twin XL fitted sheets for the bottom. And a regular king flat sheet for the top. It's not easy to find anything except a set of king sheets so you may have to buy the fitted sheets separately. I bought mine from Red Land Cotton, and they were kind enough to sell me the Twin XL sheets separately, plus a flat sheet and pillow cases separately as well. I called them and they fixed me up. I was a repeat customer, having bought a queen set previously as well as a baby gift. They are not cheap but the sheets are wonderful and well made.
