I'm not working today, have the house to myself, so I made myself a "real" breakfast and ate it in peace.

I think it was a tiny bowl of the hamburger-potato casserole that our oldest son requested I make for dinner last night.

He is home on vacation from Baghdad, and asked for this casserole. I used to make it often when we still had the kids (5) at home. A friend of mine made it up, and it became a regular at their home, then at ours. It's hamburger (I use ground chuck) in the bottom of a casserole dish, topped by sliced potatoes almost to the top, then spread mushroom soup (or any flavor, really) over that, cover and bake for about an hour. Sometimes I slice onions in with the potatoes, but I didn't have any last night. It's pretty plain, but the kids always loved it.

Scrambled egg, two pieces of bacon and a cup of tea (Constant Comment). My lunch will be a Starbuck's Egg Florentine sandwich. I ate half yesterday, the rest will be today's lunch. I'm not a Starbuck's regular, I happened to stop in yesterday.

I'm currently eating my breakfast/lunch: half an orange, boiled egg, whole wheat bagel/half with low fat cream cheese half with magerine, and a few chunks of dry salami and monterey jack cheese (which I shouldn't be eating) and coffee.
