Gotta have these matching tufted chairs

Making my first New Years decision, I am purchasing TWO chairs/ottomans, and will place them in front of the window. The matching, yep matching sofa is on the inside wall. I just can't get think about them any longer, the New Years Day sale price is $441 each, I can't resist!!

Hope someone is excited for me, I know the matching set is not a favorable look, I hope to enjoy looking at them from the kitchen island, which is the view of the tree right now.

I think they're GORGEOUS. The trio of seating that matches will give a nice serene feeling to the room. Love the fabric and style.

walkin - i'm glad you like that chair! :) Hopefully you'll run into one soon! yeah, if they were asking hundreds of dollars i probably wouldn't even be considering. I think I'll at least go look at it. hopefully when they say "fair condition" it doesn't have horrible wear marks. I have no clue how to reupholster. Now i'm hoping the style doesn't look too formal with the other furniture. I can't picture it all together. The chair has nailhead trim like my other furniture though!! that's in common!! ha listen to me trying to convince myself it matches.

Well the room is morphing into something else. Son likes this cheap "O" jazz mirrored mural, its sorta cool and cheesy at the same time. The furniture was looking a little too mature so I think the mural adds some 20yr old youth and it ties in the black and light gray carpet to the room. It will be spaced and placed behind the sofa and take up a big area. He has a long narrow room that's now limited on space due to the big a$$ chair, difficult having any symmetry so thinking of two matching small bench/stool/ottoman type seating across from chair. I did a layout to scale and sm bench/stools are the only way to get extra seating without blocking the TV viewing. Of course I am now hung up on seating again. I found a sight online called m!dnight velvet; don't know anything about them except they have some low cost slightly unusual stuff. Son doesn't have much room for more side tables (see large coffee table in above post) so we are thinking of the sm head or the tufted ceramic stool/tables below to use as a table and possibly doubling as extra seating (but not sure). The rooms accent colors will need to change as well but we are waiting for the mirror mural for inspiration. Right now we are thinking a purple/blue accent but that could change. Also think we need texture but not sure how to add that unless it's just in some pillows or I come up with another idea for stools/tables/bench. We also decided against black curtains in the living area, might be too much black with the black carpet and black in mirror mural so we bought these pale gold ones from sm@rtbargins. The window is across the room from the big a$$ chair so I was thinking it would look better to have a similar color on the window to balance it out a bit. I'm trying to buy all the furniture from craigslist to stay in my $1,200 budget (not including accessories) but still need a 48" round used dining set. I'm so sick sick sick of looking on CL but have too to keep the cost down. If I see one more ad that says "designer" I'm going to flip a lid! Of course it's designer, someone designed it!!! And don't get me started on "custom" ads. P.S, I'm sorry about these pictures but I'm having trouble with my cable or photobucket and also my overloaded brain so please forgive as I will figure it out later. Hi again Fori, Let me qualify my answer. (I've been a professional upholsterer for years.) There are buttoned chairs and there are tufted chairs. So I googled, as Kitchenkelly suggested. Most of the images were of buttoned chairs. In other words. a button is pulled just a bit into the upholstery. That is very different from true tufting which always involves diagonal pleating in the center, and vertical pleats at the front and back. Here is a true tufted chair in a stripe. Link below. Personally, I don't like it. I think it's disturbing to the flow of the pattern to have the stripes chopped up. It would be more choppy on yours because it is a seat, and the pleats would come down the front of the piece. Were you my customer, I would strongly discourage that fabric choice. An add-on for whatever it is worth - In the early 1970s, I ran a retail flower shop in central Illinois. We did a good business and I had 11 full-time employees. When the flower holidays came around, I generally added three more people, just to keep up with stuff. Most of the employees were loyal and had been there for several years. One day, in the quiet summer, I gathered them for a short meeting. I asked them to consider something, have a meeting while I was out of the building and let me know what decision there was. What, if anything, would you like to have me do different in the way of making your time at the flower shop better. I asked and then left the building. I returned about 45 minutes later and they had a decision. I don't know if they voted or what. However, their decision was to have health insurance. That was uppermost in their minds. I investigated and decided that would be too expensive as an overhead item. I told them about my decision, but added that all would get an increase in their hourly wage to help compensate for what I could not offer. They seemed to be happy. I did not have health insurance at the time either. Remember, this was the early 1970s. Money is not always the reason that people go to work each day. It often has to do with the way they are treated. There are some efforts around the USA for restaurants to pay above minimum wage and post a sign that indicates that tips are not necessary. The help (front and back end) would be compensated better than what might be expected. A sole proprietor, such as the car service guy, gets whatever money is generated. He has expenses, of course, but he doesn't have to pay anyone for such things as dispatching, etc. All the money goes into his pocket. Tip him? I did not. He set his rates and has to live with them.

The chair and ottoman is beautiful. I'm envious of you that you have enough space for two chairs, each with ottomans. I might have room for two chairs and the feet would have to share one ottoman. I don't know why you would worry about matching..........you need to have matching chairs in that situation. I have matching lamps in my bedroom, wish I had them in the living room. Some things look better and more interesting when they are complementing, some things look better matching.

Post a photo when you pick them up.

I love them, and great price! We are also looking for two matching chairs - and we intend to also look at them from our kitchen! Are they super comfy? Do you mind sharing the manufacturer and model name?

Oh girls, thank you so much for your positive thoughts on my purchase today. I'm still in shock , I didn't drive 25 minutes to the Ashley home store ,I just phoned the order in, gave her my charge number and the chairs will be here in a week !!
I have had a silk fabric picked out for the drapes for the past 9 months, maybe I can act on that next!! I also need to decide if I want a silhouette , wood blinds or plantation shutters for the large window. I'm thinking I would like to add elegance and softness to the room with a silhouette. The wood burning fireplace will be be stone. Maybe I should have wood blinds so I can keep them clean. Plus they would MATCH the visible sunroom wood blinds, which will be my next big decision!!

sewwhatsnew - The chairs are beautiful, for sure. Have you purchased from Ashley before? I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but Ashley Furniture is notorious for failing to deliver timely and for poor quality worksmanship. This company is based in Wisconsin, where I live, and recently the local news reported stories about disgruntled Ashley Furniture customers. Apparently, they do not keep a lot of inventory in stock, so they deliver at a date later than purchase. According to the complaints I've seen, they make delivery date promises and literally do not deliver on them. Also, the quality is not high, so they have received many complaints and, according to the reviews, have not adequately repaired/replaced/serviced their products. Resolution of customer issues seems to take a long time. I don't want to burst your bubble, I just want you to be aware in case you have any problems. In the last 36 months, there have been 180 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau about this company, and if you do a search on Ashely Furniture consumer reviews, you'll find heaps. I think they were also sued for copyright violations.

I'm sure not every customer has been disappointed, but it's helpful to at least be aware of these concerns. I hope your experience with this company is positive. Keep us posted.

The chairs are facing the future fireplace living room wall, I love the soft curvature of the backs. I can't stop looking at the room, I just love it!! Next I'll order blinds, hoping white woods don't look too stark. I'd like a silhouette but I might be sorry with a wood fireplace. Home will smell like were having a bonfire..so I think I need to have hard surfaces I can clean!!!

Oh, I love them! They look really comfy!

I didn't check but they actually look like my furniture in a different color/pattern.

What color are your walls? I like the deep gold.
