Houston..Guess what? I felt the same way about my figs! I had a couple and they are not as sweet as many rave them to be to me, and I let them fully ripen. I was told the older the tree, the sweeter they get. Oh I hope so. Mine are only about 2-3 feet tall. I hope someday to get a VERY sweet one. Keeping my fingers crossed. You can have the cooler weather.lol It's depressing to wake up 5 days out of the week with cloudy skies and temps below normal. I get enough of that in the Spring, Fall, and Winter. Our summers are shrinking while just one state away they are boiling. Strange I'll say! Protect your trees for sure in that. I hope you have a pool. Josh! Well, would you look at that! Holding back for one of the best? Very very nice. Will you be separating them anytime soon or let them grow together like a mini forest? They look pretty good together like that. Are you growing them for fun, or for eventual fruit? I love them. 46 degrees! Well, I thought my weather was cold. You must still use some source of heat for those cold nights, or at least put the windows up. Wow. Well, I can understand why certain plants may be an issue for you there. My weather is much warmer than yours, but still I have a problem with some of the plants you mentioned too. But despite them odds, what you grow still seems to relish in your care. Have these mid range orange-y build ins(whatever was on Craigslist lol) The walls are https://www.dunnedwards.com/colors/browser/de6060 (in fact the only common between that digital image and how the walls look like is that both of them could be, in a very broad way, called "some sort of a purple". IRL it's darker, deeper, more red-based.) I got a lot of pleasure of putting some colorful boxes (found in TJ Maxx, left from gift, etc) where I keep lots of stuff(mementos, letters, postcards-I never throw these away, etc) on some of the shelves. favorite scarves, bags-i arranged them in a way I can see them I love colors and patterns(I love black and white and greige and taupe and cream too..one doesn't negate the other) so that obviously creates more liveliness. Bought a funny vintage hat with a rose on some estate sale and put it on the top shelf. I keep some art there too but it's not really displayed yet, it's stored, waiting for its moment..one can see a bit of it though. I don't have a picture(I never thought my closet is worthy enough) and can't take one since we're that strange family with a broken camera and no i phones lol..need to buy a camera the idea is basically the same-take a color you love that will work with your bedroom(or wherever your closet is) and have fun arranging it with your stuff. Some boxes I have there are bright blue and bright pink with golden polka dots lol. one box has a ribbon and embroidery. another pictures a happy frog. I like being silly somewhere (often on a street lol)..closet is a nice place to do whatever makes you happy In the previous home I had my most favorite top turned in a way I could see it all the time. I also arranged some very bold necklace in the same way

This would be more or less how the whole setup was back then. Now there are a couple of tweaks(mainly the table one is raised a bit higher). Also, peppers. Dont know about stackable, but its meant to be easily removed in case of strong rain or hail... My grandparents tend the plants. I live elsewhere, with no suitable space and conditions for stacking . I do pest and health checks, they do the weekly watering. I add extra water if needed(hot weather).
