We finally got some sunshine yesterday afternoon after several days of rain. It's still dark out now but am hoping for another day of sunshine, or several. I was beginning to get cabin fever.

Well, we have about 10 inches of snow, every branch, twig,is covered, and it's just beautiful! Am afraid some trees will break with the weight of it. We'll be ok as long as the power doesn't go out. Not going to walk the dogs, they can "go" in their back yard. Never seen snow hang onto everything as much as this. Gotta get my camera.

Yes, the same way here Bigack, snow hanging on every surface outside. Very pretty out. I fed my cats outside and swept them a place to eat. Keep safe all.

At least a foot of heavy, wet snow outside, and still coming down. I'm so glad we had the trees trimmed last year, this house is surrounded by huge elms, but I haven't seen/heard any limbs coming down on the roof.
We do have above ground utility wires, hopefully they will hold.

Supposed to snow all day, and end this evening.

I bet all the snow is beautiful but oh my!!! I can't imagine driving in that! I truly would not know how.

It is 45 degrees here and very windy. I got about 5 1/2 inches rain yesterday so the yard is squishy muddy and water logged. My roses are breaking out in new buds...I need to prune them back a bit. Not much since they are all antique tea roses.
Today perhaps the sun will pop out for a while and start drying things up. But they say it will be windy all day and cold...that's okay.
David and I plan on doing a few errands today, need to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy, hit the library and go to Sams. Going out for supper at Sonny's a barbeque place that is very good. I love their baked sweet potatoes.

I'm not too far from Monica, just on the other side of Philadelphia and a little further south and we have the same conditions. It's hard to even look out the windows because the snow is sticking to everything including the window glass. I opened the kitchen window to toss some extra bird seed out for my feathered neighbors and there was about 10 inches of snow on the windowsill. The township just came by with their snowplows so at least they're out. My house is on a smaller side road so I'm glad to see the plow come.

Here in Minnesota we were just on the western edge of all the snow you people further east got. Yesterday was about 30 degrees--balmy warm for us--with light snow/sleet all day. Today will be colder, but no more snow until another front tomorrow and then only a few inches. The worst part of this winter has been the constant up and down temperatures. The higher temps turn everything to slush, and then when the temps fall all that slush freezes into ice. Terrible for both driving and walking!

yup...hard to look outside with the snow sticking to the windows. Channel 10 just reported 14" in Plymouth Meeting(next town), and said it was a number from a few hours ago.
Snow is now coming down sideways.

Dark and dreary here this morning.....we have a prediction of about 10 inches of snow coming. Enough already! In our farther north region we can expect it to last forever.

It's about 25°, with a wind chill of 9°. It has pretty much quit snowing but is still blowing. There is too much drifting to say how much we got. In spots, it's bare, in others, it's a foot deep. My guys just went out to clear our & the neighbor's driveways. Drifts in front of the garages wouldn't let us out if they didn't! This is almost a repeat of 3 years ago. We took Amtrak to California and left on today's date, but it was a Friday. By the time we got to Chicago, it was starting to snow, blow and windchill was horrible. (We had to stay overnight cause the train was to late to catch our connection, and walked from the hotel to dinner). The kids called on Sunday or Monday and said that there was a SIX FOOT DRIFT in front of our house!!!! We were gone 10 days, and DD still had to shovel it out for us to come home.

It is 25 degrees here and still snowing. We have at least 2 feet of snow already, and it is supposed to snow until 10 pm tonight. I am worried about losing power. That would not be nice....

Good luck to all here in the Mid Atlantic region...we have 18 inches and it is still coming down. I am just hoping our plow guy makes it in to open the road.

We are in the same area as Marilyn_Sue. We live in the country. A couple trucks have gone by but have turned around and come back. We live about a half a mile off the highway and there is a stretch that always drifts bad. When my hubby worked he and a couple guys would always come in from working third shift and bust the road open.. Once the neighbors saw our guys they knew it was ok to go out..

We haven't had a snow plow go through yet. Larry is going out to run the snowblower in the drive.. He enjoys doing this... He doesn't mind the cold.

Here in my part of Ohio, we got about 14-16" of the white stuff. It's down to just a few flurries now, but the temps are to drop and the wind pick up. I'm like so many of the others in that I'm praying that the power stays on. One of my sisters lives about 10 miles from me and hers has been off since about 10 last night. Stay safe everyone and don't go out unless you absolutely have to. I feel badly for the road crews and utility repair people.

My deck railing shows about 17"+ here in Philly burbs. Still coming down. Might go for a walk/stroll in it later when it stops just to check out the scene.

Northern Delaware is knee deep in snow, not that I'm going out in it....son just called he will be over to plow tomorrow, its snowing and blowing so hard it would just blow back today. He did his own drive since he's to go plow at the park (25 mins. away on a good day) where he works but it's in the hilly section of DE and the roads there aren't plowed yet.

Daughter in Cape May County NJ lost her power at 6:30 this morning, she's gathering up her birds, all 7 of them, into smaller cages and moving them to second floor where it's warmer...wrapped up the goldfish tank, being a carp hoping he makes it she's had him for years....will be warming water to add to his tank, GAS STOVE thank goodness. Cats can huddle but hers are more likely to have battles.

Brother and his wife live on a barrier island 20 minutes away from her, lost power there at 9:30AM. Just called them to run the water in my house in hopes of keeping the pipes from freezing, only keep the heater set at 55 since I'm not there, so it's not warm at all and there is only a crawl space under it.

The weather has been very hard on southern costal NJ, two storms with tidal flooding in the fall then the December and January snow storms now this one.

Blue skies and sunny and 40 degrees here at 9am.

19 above and about 5 inches of new snow, but dry and fluffy. Hard to see the road, as the plows aren't out much yet on the county roads, but then neither is traffic.

It is really pretty out, the sun is really shining. I took Izzi out and she had a great time running as fast as her little legs could go though the deep snow. We are back in now and I am soon starting on my pie baking. Looks like most of us have a bit of snow.

Sun is finally out here but the wind is blowing really hard. It's 60 degrees but going to get down in the 30's tonight. Where, oh where, is my Florida weather?

The sun is trying to come out here. We got an inch or more of snow yesterday and the night before. We have had two blizzards here this winter and don't need another one. I am happy to share the snow with other states.

Sunny and spring-like, the birds are singing, there are pink buds on the plum tree, and little green leafs are starting to show on one of the native plants.

I still want snow. :(

I feel like I am in a time warp. Don't know how deep the snow is, haven't checked, but could be as much as 10-12 inches.

The strange thing is that about two hours ago the wind was blowing so hard the snow was coming down sideways! Then suddenly it was like someone had pushed a button and the wind stopped blowing and the snow almost stopped and the sky brightened up so much it was unbelievable!

No sun but it is very bright out side . Even so they are still calling for more snow.

Home, Sweet Home is the best place to be.
