How Is Your Weather This Morning?

It is on the chilly side for this time of year. Here it is morning and the thermometer is reading 33. I know it was a bit colder earlier. So from Central Indiana the sun is shining but it is cool. How is your weather this morning?

Sunny and 37Âº here this morning. Looks like a lovely day, although we could really use some rain.

It's a chilly 48 right now, but our high is supposed to be a beautiful 83. The sun is bright so it should warm up quickly.
I don't have anything planned for the day, so will probably work with my plants and read out on the porch swing.

Daily weather has been strange - somewhat mild winter, lots of wind, then hot February and March with more wind and a couple of hard freezes in late April. That double whammy hurt the majority of the fruit trees and a large number of shade trees. The trees looks so strange as they struggle to rebud and leaf out. We are continuing in a severe drought so everything except the weeds are almost nonexistent. There are so many trees, some 50 years and older, that have not survived. It's sad for trees to die off, especially ones of that age and size. We can't just stick them in the ground and they grow as they do in many areas, we have to baby them for several years to get them established. I did have DH plow up the garden area. I have tomatoes and peppers in the greenhouse that need to be planted, but I'm not sure that things will do much at all, even with extensive watering - darn it. Probably should have just started greenhouse varieties, but that's no fun. The Sweet Autumn Clematis and the Malva Zebrina are the only two plants that are doing well outside. But - and yes I am going to shout - WE HAVE SOME CHANCE OF SHOWERS FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS! Send your good thoughts and prayers this way, please. Everyone can post pictures of yards and anything else that is growing nicely and I will live vicariously through them...LOL. While I may complain about the drought, my thoughts and prayers are with the people of Oklahoma. It is almost beyond comprehension that deadly storms hit the same area two days in a row and then hit on another day just a few miles from them. Unexplainable.

For two days, especially today, it was very overcast here. A little while ago, I saw an orange 'patch' on the wall and realized the sun was finally shining in a little peephole in the sky at the same time as it's setting. It's beautiful but I got ticked as that will now make it colder tonight. Now I hear that we're under a winter weather alert......from noon Mon to noon Tues, with same 4/6 inches total, same as Nancy. I'm in Ohio. Please, please, winter bad weather, STOP!!!! I'm hollering 'Uncle'. Shirley

We have had snow off and on today. Right now I think we have about 2" accumulated. We are supposed to get 4-6. We also had rain today. I went grocery shopping today so no need to go out tomorrow. Most snow I have seen since last winter which is OK with me. It is kind of fun to see everything white for a change.

Cold and it snowed here too, just a light dusting. Lauren and I ran to the store to get some milk and sausages for pancakes. We celebrated Sola's birthday yesterday, spending half the afternoon and night in Lexington, playing laser tag and then bowling. Four kids stayed the night. We both went to Krogers in our pjs, I stayed in the car and Lauren went in. She didn't feel like changing just to run in for 2 items and I guess some middle aged woman dressed in a pencil skirt and fur coat didn't like the way Lauren was dressed. (WHO wears THAT in L-burg KY?!) She gave her a dirty look and Lauren smiled at her, and the "lady" just sneered back at her. I told Lauren she was going to end up on the website "People of Kroger". LOL! I have to shower now and go grocery shopping and fill my gas tank up. I dread both.

50 right now, gonna be 71, with wind speeds of 70mph. The hummingbirds are upset, their feeder was on the ground this morning...and clogged. :0)

Chilly, 45 degrees, sunny, and supposed to reach 71. Furnace came on and I was under my electric blanket last night....brrrrr.

We had some frost in my part of Ohio, but it's to rebound up into the mid 60s today. Without the brisk wind we had yesterday, that should make for a beautiful day.

50 this morning going up to 73. Tonights low is supposed to be 47 but high 82. Great weather for sleeping!

very windy and snowing here in ny,has been off and on since yesterday. ive got the electric heater plugged in again, darn was hoping i was done with that! maryannetx im so jealous..the 80's! Supposed to be in the 80's here this weekend i cant wait! also, had to bring all my plants inside yesterday so now now my little house is a maze. lol. oh well hope winter is finally giving up its hold. have a great day everyone!

It was 37 when DH got up this morning about 4am, 33 around 7. Got up to 66 late afternoon for about ten minutes, then dropped again. Raw, cold wind all day. Temps are supposed to be warmer Thurs thru Sat, with more rain. There isn't enough benadryl to cure my gardening itch!
