Morning Sue and Izzi(I'd love to see a picture of that little darling)

It is storming here and we are supposed to get around 4-5 inches of rain by the days end. I predict flooding all around us.

I have laundry to do and it is bread baking day. I figure having that smell throughout the house will make it a little brighter as the storms come in. Hopefully I won't loose power!!! Hum...haven't thought of that!
I also have a quilt in the frame I am half done with. It is such a bright happy looking quilt with a flying geese border and bright scraps of calico cut into a star design. It is one that just puts a smile on your face when you sit down to quilt on it. I really need to dust mop and use vinegar water on the wood floors but I don't really feel like doing that today. I like a sunny day for that.
Hopefully this weekend I can get out and prune up all the roses I have, about 100 right now. I see new growth trying to pop out on some.

I can smell my dough fermentation going on...very yeasty smell...I just love that smell.

Cloudy, dreary morning here. I may sew some quilt tops for our church group.....have scads of material, but now have to get going at some.

Good morning. I am going to pick up dog food donated by Walmart, for the wildlife. I have to be there before noon. My husband called last night and said he is getting off today, so will probably pick him up too, and our plan is to work on the little bridge at our driveway, which has washed away due to so much rain and traffic coming in and out to work on the house.

I was busy the past two days so today I was going to not do much. However I need to do some cooking. Will put a pot of beans on to cook, make a spinach meatloaf, and cook up the small roast I bought yesterday with some vegetables. Those are for sure items, may cook some quinoa, and maybe use up some leftover chicken and broth to cook up some whole wheat noodles. I like to cook up several items and live off the leftovers or freeze them for later.

There's a winter storm warning in effect for my part of Ohio for today/tomorrow. Latest info online says 8 to 12 inches. I just hope/pray that we don't get the freezing rain/sleet. If I don't lose power, I'll be fine....don't have anywhere to go. I echo Sue's comment of staying safe and warm.

Good morning Sue.......You are always baking. I would weigh around 300 lbs now if I lived in your house. lol. As a matter of fact, I'm baking today, too. Tomorrow dh and I start our driver's class sponsored by AARP to reduce the rates of our insurance. The class is four hours for each of two Saturdays. Frankly, I don't think it is worth eight hours of my time to reduce our insurance $100 for three years.....that's a total of $300. That comes to approx. $18.70 an hour. I'd rather stay home! Since we will be there so long, they wanted some goodies for people to eat during break. I think I will make a pound cake and maybe some snickerdoodles. Also thought I'd make some pea soup for a friend who just got home from hospital after knee surgery. I think I'll bring her some of the pound cake and cookies, too. We won't be needing it all on Saturday.

Snowing again. will share again. sorting and cleaning. no baking as DH should not eat all that good stuff. Have a great day

Same forecast for our area gadgets. I'm getting ready to go down to the cellar and fill the 3gl. and 5gl. water jugs with water just in case the electric goes out, so I can at least flush the toilet. I have milk jugs I can fill with drinking water and I have my trusty old gas Magic Chef stove for cooking AND staying warm if necessary. If I can survive the storm of 2004 nine days w/o electric, I can make it over the weekend.

almost time for me to make lunch for ds and myself. he's still working on my upstairs bath...

did get out this am (no snow for us) and bought several "ruby" red things for dh for our 40th annv tomorrrow...he just doesn't wear cuff links or a tie tack to get the real deal...besides, we bought enough "bling" for the bathroom, lol...thanks be kohls was having a sale...

think we'll go to ruby tues for a burger tomorrow nite, lol...

Good afternoon everybody! It just started to rain here so I'm glad we did our grocery shopping yesterday. Supposed to rain until tomorrow morning.

I've just been piddling around--straightening up the house some. Took a nap around 12, since I only slept about 4 hours last night, darnit.

It's Friday, so it's simple supper night. We usually have pizza but tonight it's tacos. Haven't had them for a while. I always look forward to cooler weather and heartier food, but I'm running out of ideas.
