Cruise Fare

Good afternoon everyone.

The family on Saturday morning arrived back in Galveston aboard the Carnival Ectasy. During the four hour drive home, I reflected on the food and what I would be blogging about in my weekly 'column'. I thought I'd write about how people gorge themselves (on mediocre food) just because they can. I thought about how I more appreciated Carnival's food than Royal Carribean's - although RCI was better (blame it on expectations). I wondered how true the claims of "milk-fed" (veal) and "vine-ripened" (beefsteak tomatoes) really were. (OK, I didn't wonder. I knew better!) But I kept coming back to the bearnaise -- which was served as remoulade.

So, I'm curious... Have you eaten cruise fare that was so good, you booked another high seas vacation? Or, as a foodie, did you find yourself nitpicking, like yours truly?

By the way, if you were to choose the menu for an "All American" buffet, what would you be sure to include?
