Quietude Pictures
Comments (19)Well, there is a more substantial shelf than you can see in the picture. I had to buy that thing as the TV was too low on the shelf otherwise. I don't really want to hang the TV on the wall as I don't like the look of the cables hanging out, and for what it would cost to buy the mount and conceal the wires, I could buy a nice new cabinet. Basically, my problem is money! As a single person paying the house note and all the bills alone, I don't have a lot left over, and I have champagne tastes! I basically have to buy what I can afford, and concentrate on one nice thing at a time. I need a new desk, bed, media cabinet, and rug in this room, but I need a new loveseat, chairs, and media cabinet in the LR first! I find wasting money on junk to get the things I need faster is a bad idea--I'd rather spend more on stuff that will last over a slower period of time. But sometimes, it gets REALLY slow, if you know what I mean!...See MoreSW whole wheat, macadamia or blonde?
Comments (13)thank u so much for your help! :) jessicaml, that's good advice about picking a color u like best at the time you'll see it most. i might hav to change these cfls and go warmer like u said. chocolatebunny, thanks for comparing the 2 colors for me... i think i'm leaning more toward blonde. mamiebella, that's so impressive that u have these colors. thank you so much for that picture!! i feel the same way about macadamia, it felt blah to me. ww looks a bit drab to me in the room. honestly, blonde makes me feel happy :) (maybe bc it takes me back to good memories in our townhouse!) i don't actually have humble gold on the morning rm wall yet, but it's one of the colors we're pretty darn sure about (or else dh will be so mad at me, lol). but now that i'm leaning toward blonde, i may have to change up our choice for the hallway/foyer color. it was believable buff, which was on the ww color strip, but now i may need to go w/ ivoire from the blonde color strip... what do u think? omg, dh is going to hate me, lol!!!...See MoreHas anyone here painted a family room Sherwin Williams Rainwashed
Comments (11)CarolT924, I don't have the Whole Wheat up yet and I won't really have rooms where the colors can be easily viewed together as I don't really have an open floor plan. So I can't speak to your question with actual experience. I have some rooms painted Comfort Gray and a large board painted with the Whole Wheat. When I hold those colors up against each other, I personally like the combo. Comfort Gray is fairly close in hue to Quietude but with more gray. Can you get a Color to Go sample and paint as much of the wall as you can in an area that butts up against the Whole Wheat shades? To get a good rendition of the Quietude, be sure to prime the wall before putting on the sample. The samples really aren't paint and don't cover very well. If you love Rainwashed, you will love Quietude. But if Quietude is a little more saturated than you want, you might want to check out Comfort Gray. Sounds dull, but it's really a very nice shade and very versatile....See MoreSW Nomadic Desert
Comments (7)do you have any windows in the laundry room? daylight and how it changes really affects color. the nomadic desert in your room might be the best choice- i would just paint a large enough swatch on poster board/s or something and check it throughout the day and at night. i just painted our new laundry room with white cabinets accessible beige which is a very neutral color-- probably reads more gray but looks nice with antique white molding and deepish tan walls in adjoining room, and would look great with quietude... i thought i wanted macadamia or basket beige in my area, but they both seemed decidely greenish, row house tan and townhall tan seemed blah in that space- i wanted something alittle crisper, so i have narrowed it down to stonebriar or dromedary camel... both of which i thought were more yellow than i wanted, but for my space i think they're the best... that's my most recent experience with SW tans!...See Morenami
