Right. It's genetic, my mother slept on the right as well.

I don't have a head board. I keep meaning to get a bed with a headboard, but I never get around to it.

In any event, I sleep on the left side.

In the middle of the single bed.

Back to the wall on the left, usually, facing the side table with light and radio, then what was uncle's single bed, with window beyond, and yard light visible outside ... that I can see sometimes, when there isn't too large a pile of clothing, bedding, etc. on the other bed.

When I manage to make it there - sometimes daylight comes stealing into the computer room window before I head off for bed. Not very smart use of cost-free sunlight, that.

When my husband and I are sleeping in our bed, he is on my right - I am on his left.

I sleep on the right side...can't get to sleep on the left side at all...weird huh!

My DH would probably tell you I always have to be RIGHT!

Facing our headboard, I sleep on the right side of the bed, but on my DH's left side ;o) Thinking about it, I believe it's the same way a husband and wife are positioned at their nuptials. The wife stands on the husband's left side, so if you're facing them she'd be on the right...same as on a wedding cake topper. Hmmm, interesting.

Standing at the foot of the bed, facing the headboard, I sleep on the right. Coconut burrows under the covers and sleeps between us towards the foot of the bed.

I start out facing the wall on the left side. I toss and turn so much and move around in bed I am all over - I even end up some nights with my feet facing the headboard. I don't sleep walk, I bed walk. LOL

All of it. I get in on the right side, and go to sleep on the right side too. But 1st pee call, I roll out the left side, as that puts my good (left) foot/knee down. I can't get out on the right side. When I get back in bed, I get in on the left, but spread out to where ever feels comfortable. As long as it doesn't move the cat. LOL

It seems that until recently I've always slept closest to the door since we've been married. Strange? I thought the man was supposed to sleep near the door to protect the "helpless little woman". LOL

I got to thinking about all our bedrooms we've had since we married. Seems I was the guard dog!

At Dover, I slept on the left, closest to the door, near the wall and attic entry.

At Travis, I slept on the right, closest to the door.

At GFAFB, I slept on the left, closest to the door and closets.

Here at the new/old house, I sleep on the left, with an honest-to-goodness night stand, away from the door (!), and next to a window with a beautiful view! It's also a north-facing, North Dakota window, with its own issues, but an electric blanket and a pair of socks fixed that problem.
