Enduring....as for does extra hot mean anything to me...I don't have an extra hot just hot. I have a sanitize and a allergen cycle. ..my manual states my sanitize will use hot water and this hot water insures it will kill 99.9% germs..however the hottest that cycle gets is 111F...my allergen cycle is a different story. .I get 154F and that's after the water drains so I suspect it its close to 158/160F. thing is all my cycles seem to work different than what Whirlpool says they should in regards to temps. So no I ddon't know what extra hot means but I wouldn't doubt Whirlpool put that on there to lure buyers...I don't trust WP can you tell lol.

I have a speed queen front loader in our Fl house. I loved it. I'ts still under warranty.Then I heard they were discontinuing this model so I bought it qucikly In Southern Utah before they ran out. Personally, I HATE European washing machines. I lived in Europe in the late 70's and the machines were a PITA. Yes they were energy effecient. Not on my energy and time just theirs; government mandates. This house we bought in Southern Utah had an Asco washer and dryer. They looked nice under the counter but oh my god, they took forever to wash and dry and you could only fit a few towels and undies in there. I'm sorry but I have other things to do in my life. I am in the process of having the Speed Queen front loader and dryer installed. They have been sitting in the garage for several months. They however have a 4 year warranty so I'm not too worried. If you want all of the bells and whistles, this is not the machine. If you want something durable that has no plastic parts and can do a large load., look into it. Your mileage may vary as they say. thank you for that!! i searched soo many sites and was only aware of the Kenmore. will read more about this dryer. it may be a little smaller than i want but i may just have to make this work if i cannot get info about the Kenmores

I have to agree with whoever told you they don't supply w/d to tenants anymore. I've been a homeowner for a long time, but I used to be tenant in various apts. None of which supplied a w/d in each apt. My daughter who has been a tenant in two separate buildings, also, no w/d in the apts. I have noticed the trend in recent years for landlord supplied w/d in rental units and while it's attractive to a tenant, it can only lead to high costs and frustration for a landlord. If I was to own rental property, I would not, under any circumstances offer a w/d in the rental unit. To the point that if I bought a rental property and it came with w/d hook-ups, I would seal them off and build a cabinet in front of the hook-ups. No exceptions. I've owned enough washers and dryers in my lifetime to know that even with my own very good laundry and loading habits, bad things happen, and sometimes it's catastrophic. Tenants for the most part are not going to take as good care of any appliance in their unit as they would if they owned said machines. I understand your frustration though...you have existing tenants who have rented a unit with w/d hook ups and provided machines, therefore you pretty much have to keep things status quo. You might want to think about the time when these tenants vacate and perhaps remove your laundry machines and seal up the hook-ups since this is going to a repeat problem no matter who your tenant is. Call me Scrooge, but I'm ok with that. It's costly enough to keep up with maintenance and purely cosmetic improvements on a rental unit, insurance, property taxes, etc...add in appliances and it's hard to make ends meet on paper and bank balances. In fact, back in my renting days I never even had a dishwasher supplied. Neither has my daughter. Just something to think about.
