I get mine from a place in Escondido, CA, called Mart's. He carries parts to all sorts of old appliances, including blenders, electric shavers, and toasters.

Shipping is expensive, no doubt about that. But knowing how lightweight an "O" ring is, the envelope to ship it probably would cost more than the darned postage!

Not knowing where you are, next time you're in a city, look for an appliance parts place. If I were closer to Escondido, I'd run up and get one and ship you one, but unfortunately that's a 40 mile round trip for me.

The only place I can suggest other than on-line (which is where I think you will end up) is a second hand/thrift shop. They may have a blender that you can pick up cheaply to get the O ring. Good luck in your search. Now a days just about the only place you can get parts for small appliances is on line. NancyLouise

I bought one hanging on the end of an aisle at Wal-Mart....it was Oster brand...and my blender is an Oster.

If you go to an Ace Hardware store and they don't carry what you want, ask to see their "big" housewares catalog. It's at least 3" thick and has just about everything in it that you could wish for, including those elusive Oster rings. Ace stores order and get deliveries 1-2 times each week, so you should be able to get one fairly quickly. True Value stores probably operate similarly. While you're at it, you may want to order another blade, too; they dull more easily than you think. Good luck!

Try looking for a blender at your local thrift store, then harvest the O-ring. Also, try free cycle, a lot of people have old blenders laying around. You could try to make one using one of those rubber bottle opener/grippers.

I'm a regular customer at True value and the owner, who is usually very helpful and friendly, just said "No." Harumph! Maybe it was a bad day, but now I'm off to Ace and the thrift stores. Linda, WalMart said they don't have them anymore. It seems like such a simple thing!
